  2. Here is the start of my knockoff.:D As I do not have access to a lathe. I have to use a 3 axis Mill. I am cutting one half then flip it over and cut the other half. Then I will take the part and stand it up and cut the threads. I will work more on it tomorrow.

While the rest of us had to brave the winds of fortune, or a bidding war on the bay, you Sir have taken the issue to hand and produced the very item. I would suspect having a solid handle gives a superior feel as well. Thank you again for being innovative in the field. The photos showing your process and step by step as the piece emerges from the block are so cool!
