My other hobby is metal detecting. Ive found hundreds of rings, maybe afew dozen (tungsten, titanium, stainless steel).

I think I saw someone else had picked up a copy of this 20 year old reference book.

The cover is a little worse for wear, but it was a gift from my Texan aunt. I'm hanging out at her cattle ranch doing a bit of handyman work. Got a 1989 F250 running. Five point eight liters rumbling thru dual exhausts with no cat converters!

Great haul. Is that a copper razor at the bottom of the blades?

She gave it to her granddaughter, that's my 1st cousins daughter, makes her my 2nd cousin? I drive a '86 Ranger that I already don't understand. Give me the old days when you could set the points gap with a match book cover, and adjust the ignition timing with a 1/2" wrench and a knowledgeable ear.
We did the simple things; strapped in a fresh battery, found the keys, and it fired right up. That after setting for at least five years. An easy oil and filter change because the 16" wheels set it up high enough you don't need a jack to slip under. With a manual tranny and a fifth wheel hitch this is a classic Southern ride.

Aha! Not your own series of marriages in other words ;)

I thought rings were usually silver or gold, especially wedding ones; never heard of titanium rings etc. Perhaps this other hobby of yours is more lucrative than the shaving? Do you pawn or sell anything you find?

I have a tungsten ring, extremely comfortable, impossible to scratch and it cost all of $30.

Sometimes, i prefer to find the owners and return. Then if no owner can be ascertained, they gather in my collection. Ive sold a few to friends, given a few to family.
If liquidation needs, they get shipped directly to a refinery, never to a pawn shop. Bad biz, giving someone else your profit. Metal detecting has been very nice to me, and i like it.
