    [IMG][IMG] Three Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
    Rolls Razor
    Hollow Ground Blade
    Fitchard Pure Badger
    LEA Tallow soap
    Humphreys Original Witch Hazel

I had a Test Shave this Morning with this NOS Rolls Razor Set that I Just Restored for a TSR Member..The Rolls Hollow Ground Blade Took a Very Keen Edge after Honing it..More Importantly..Its as Smooth as a Butter Knife..Anybody that is Looking to Hone a Hollow Ground Blade..Well Just Look at the Lovely Shiny Bevel on the Top Pic..That's What You Should See from the Bevel Setting Hone You are using with the Naked Eye..If You Don't See this Sparkling Edge then You haven't Set the Bevel..:D

The Bevel Must be Set before You can Move on Through the progression System..In Fact the Honing Process Does Not Even Begin Until You have RESTORED THE EDGE..Because that is What We are Doing at the Bevel Setting Stage..This is the Same for any Hollow Ground Blade..The CV Heljestrand Blades are the Same..The Rolls Blade is Sheffield Steel & Cuts Faster then the CV Heljestrand Blades..This is because the CV Heljestrand Blades are Made from Much Harder Swedish Tempered Steel the Same as their SRs & I Have Honed Some Swedish Steel SRs..;)

One is Not Harder to Hone than the Other or Made of Better Steel..The CV Heljestrand Blades Take Longer to Cut is All But they Take a Killer Edge..A Hard Steel Carbon Blade would Not Work in the Rolls System Any Roads...The Rolls System would Not be Capable of Maintaining an Edge..The Softer Steel Sheffield Blade Is Easier Cut & Maintained on the Rolls Honing Pad..There We Have it..:p

    I Am BBS Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:kar:

Excellent shave this morning with the PAL Injecto-Matic. Very precise and maneuverable. Wonderful lather from my Stirling Cocoa Forest shave soap. Lovely scent, slick, and protective. Three passes for a dolphin smooth finish. I am smooth and refreshed. Have a great day friends. :happy005:

    Hey Guys,

today was a special moment. I opened a sealed tube of Noxzema Lather Cream. Here is my Report.

Noxzema Lather Cream / Plisson Synthetic / Ever Ready 1912 w. Jürgen Hempel Handle / GEM Stainless / 4711 (iced)

Wow!!! What a cream!!! A very nice scent, awesome skincare. The Plisson Synthetic whipped up a great lather. I´m very impressed. Sad, that this fantastic product will not be produced anymore. So it will be a cream, that i will use very very rarely, but when i use it, i will do it with great joy. The Every Ready glided through the stubbles without any problems. It´s such a great razor with a huge audible feedback. You can almost say, that you can shave with your ears.

I had much fun. As Aftershave i used my 4711, which i stored in the freezer before my shave. Was very pleasant too.

Now i with go on a fleamarket with my Girlfriend and when we are back, we will have BBQ. Can´t wait...

I wish everyone a happy Sunday, enjoy your Shaves, take your time and take care.

    Greetings
    Thorsten

    For Flint Sunday
Excellent lather and scent, and taking my time resulted in an excellent shave. TTFFC makes a soothing aftershave, too. Cryogen kept me chilly throughout the shave and the WSP Tobacco balm continued and finished the soothing process.
    Prep: Chiseled Face Cryogen
Soap: Through The Fire Fine Craft For Flint
    Brush: Merkur Futur
    Razor: Merkur Futur 5-5-5
    Blade: Voskhod
AS: TTFFC For Flint, WSP Tobacco balm

Today was my first use of Route 66 Rum Runner I received as a gift. The title had me believing it was a straight forward bay rum soap. The scent off the puck was more like a sweet rum drink. When in doubt, I went to the web site and reviewed the description which read " Bright white Citrus and Ginger top notes over Sweet Hay, Sandalwood and Cinnamon. Anchored with Sugar Cane Rum and Birch Wood." I fully admit I am not the best at describing scents. However, as I lathered I picked up some more of the ginger and spice but not like a normal bay rum scent. More like a spiced rum punch. All in all a very pleasing scent and one I am sure that I will enjoy using. The performance of the soap is top notch as expected from Route 66 soaps. The lather was stable, slick and provided great glide and cushion. The post shave feel is top notch as well.

I went with a traditional 3 pass shave paying attention to my trouble areas as I went. The Cobra was like a squeegee wiping away the lather and whiskers. With minor touch ups, along my jaw line and neck, I ended with a smooth and drama free BBS. Finished of the shave with a splash of Captain's Choice Bay Rum with menthol added. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
