    Three Pass Shaving Routine..

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
Herder Constant Solingen Full Hollow 6/8th
    Hans Baier Silver Tip
    Valobra Tallow Soap
    Humphreys Witch Hazel

I Had a Wonderful Shave Today with My Herder Solingen 6/8th..This Stainless Steel Blade SR is Way Different to My Stainless Steel Henkels Fioudur Solingen 7/8th..The Herder hasn't as Thin a Grind as the Full Hollow Henkels Fioudur & For Me is a Far More Forgiving Shaver..In Fact..I Feel that I Can Do No wrong with the Herder..I Find the Henkels Fioudur Scary by Comparison & it Requires a Lot More Attention to Use..:D

I Have Read on Some Forums a Stainless Steel SR Doesn't Take or Hold an Edge as Well as a Carbon Steel Blade...I Wouldn't Know about Modern Stainless SRs But this Auld Herder has One Keen Edge & a Very Smooth & Forgiving Shaver..:)

    I Am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:eatdrink047:

It was time for me to use my AW Wadsworth this morning. What a nice shave!

Something must really be clicking now, because my last half dozen or so SR shaves have been fantastic all around and they have been as good as my DE/SE shaves! I can also do my SR shaves now in 20 minutes start to finish!

SOTD: Early morning shave with this fine Hayashi Diamond#8000 13/16," Route 66 'Lavender Woods' soap applied with a custom Oscar11 boar brush and matching Route 66 aftershave balm. A lovely razor that produces exceptionally-smooth results.

    SOTD August 19, 2016

    Pre: Proraso green preshave cream
    Razor: Griffon Carbo Magnetic
    Soap: Cella
    Brush: Victoria Badger
Post: Witch Hazel / Jack Black Cooling Gel

Yesterday I honed this Carbo Magnetic and took it for a whirl on the dance floor this morning. What an amazing smooth shave! I could tell the magnetic charge in the blade (yes it is still there) was helping the stubble to stand to attention and contribute to a great shave. The magnetism also brought red corpuscles to the surface and made my skin feel wonderful post shave. Amazing invention! They just don't make them that way any more.;)

Wow, great progress. It took me a lot more than 20 shaves to get there.
It does feel good, doesn't it?

It does feel great to get fantastic shaves out of what scared the heck out of me back in January. I'm actually closer to 100 shaves now. I guess I'm a slow learner, but I'm definitely glad I took up SR shaving!

I'm just over a hundred shaves and just starting to get consistently good shaves. I am glad as well. It's fun

    So, let's see....

Assuming you use your SR every other day, you will be proficient by Spring 2017!

Seriously, I like the scales on that razor!

It's very satisfying to see improvement. Good luck and have fun!

I updated my spreadsheet today. It was my 201st straight razor shave. I don't shave every day, so that's in about a year and a half. My shaves have gotten so much better as I kept at it.
