The Haul - August 2016

I just got finished with my first shave with it, and I gotta say I'm impressed. I was thinking it wouldn't be well-balanced, what with the heavy handle, but it was sweet. I may have to keep this one, too.

 

The g bar is a fantastic razor and is one of my favorite SE razors! Enjoy it!

 

Received this really nice NOS New Forest two-band badger in with a great 19-20mm knot.
It ended up being the brush I used this morning and it performed as well as I think it looks

 

Custom two-tone Featherweight...gotta love a Dremel.

Mail came early today and received my two Avon decanters full of AS.......

Full and with the original boxes...Wow! I do like the chromed airplane. I've found mine in the wild by shaking to see if they still have juice. What do they contain?
(edit; I see WindJammer on the Spirit box. How's about the what-I-thought was a WWII grenade?)

 

I'm pretty sure the beer barrel contained Wild Country.

 

My Western grind kamasori arrived from Portland Razor Company. Hard to tell by the pics, but the wrapping is waxed Irish linen in a dark olive green. Thumb pad test shows scary sharp. Shave to follow later tonight.

I got a pre-war fat handle Tech today. Needed some cleaning, but it's in really good shape.

 

I hit up another thrift store today and scored. The car is full of Tai Winds and the bottle is full of Avon Spicy. They had a lot more to choose from and each was $1.99. I may be going back.

Beer barrel, Oland scent. some say like Old Spice Burley, a barbershop like scent.

 

Cool, I recently got my Oland in a Pipe shaped decanter.

 

Does it smell different out of the bottle? There was a full Liberty Bell of Oland today that I passed on. I didn't get a barbershop scent from it but if it is I'm going back tomorrow.

 

It reminds of something my Dad used to use and he liked different types of Old Spice. It kinda does remind of being in an old barber shop. And yeah, it does smell different on skin, just tried it.
