    RazoRock Plissoft 22mm
    OSP Bay Rum
    Gillette Flair Tip J3
    Personna Lab Blue [ 3 ]
    Alum Rub/ Rinse off
    Tuff Green A/S Lotion

After a period on Injectors/SE razors, am try out my DEs for a few days. I have been persuaded to use a previously
unused Flair Tip [ came in job lot] ,which as I use heavier adjustables I had put off using,

My first strokes were tentative, but by ensuring that it was used with the lightest of touches and no pressure it shaved well. As I did not rush the shave, it took longer than usual but was very smooth and comfortable ,and overall finish was exceptionally good . Feel sure I could not have done this 3 years ago, when I restarted DE Shaving , I was in far too much of a Hurry And Heavy Handed. It is nice now to be able to know that it is possible to switch between De/SE & Injectors, and get a good quality Shave.

    Two Pass Perfection
The Bronze Shadow made optimal lather from Mike's Hungarian Lavender. Its already been said, but this tuxedo knot is the best synthetic I've ever used. The soap has an herbal, green scent, brighter than Lavanille but still enjoyable. This one is better suited to a warmer day perhaps, though I love Lavanille anytime, and I used that aftershave today. Mike's in an excellent soap, especially the post shave feeling that nearly obviates aftershave. I made two passes with the Futur set in six, and it was drama free and easy BBS. This is going to be my preferred pattern now, since one less pass means no tender neck, since the second pass is ATG I get the closeness I prefer. The smooth feeling does not last as long as when I do three passes, but I'm now willing to make that trade for comfort.
    Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
    Soap: Mike's Hungarian Lavender
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Bronze Shadow
    Razor: Futur 6-6
    Blade: Voskhod
    AS: B&M Lavanille

    Two Pass Shaving Routine...

Hot Water prep & massage with Argan Oil
    Japanese Hamilton 6/8th ( Freshly Honed )
    VP Leon Hardy Pure Badger
    LEA Tallow Soap
    Humphreys Witch Hazel

I Had an Awesome Shave Today with My Freshly Honed Japanese Hamilton 6/8th..I was Never Quite Happy with the Wickedness of this Blade from the Vendor I Got it from..It was Shave Ready but Far too Yang in My Books..I Took it back to the Bevel Hone & Started Again as it Clearly had been Honed on some Sort of Natural Stones due the Scratches Under the Micro Lens..

Talking of Far Too Yang..I Have been a Serious Internal Martial Arts Student & Teacher for Many Years Now...The Tai Ji or Yin & Yang Diagram above Represents the Chinese Theory & Practice of Universal Natural Forces...What Most People Don't Realize is What those 2 Dots Represent in the Yin & Yang Symbol..;)

Those 2 Dots Represent a Dot of Yin within the Yang & a Dot of Yang within the Yin..Even When I am Striking a Fatal Blow in Marital Arts there Must be a Dot of Yin within the Yang Strike...Conversely there is a Dot of Yang within the Yin when Neutralizing an Attack..These are the Hidden Secret if there is One in Internal Chinese Gung Fu Systems..The Twist for Me of Course is that Someone can be Destroyed by Harmonious Forces..:p

I Apply My Gung Fu Knowledge & Understanding of Yin & Yang when I Hone My SRs..This Blade was Too Yang before I Honed it..The Blade Now has a Dot of Yin within the Yang as Represented in the Tai Ji Diagram...In Other Words.. There is a Dot of Softness Within the Hardness & this Edge..Its a Far More Comfortable & Forgiving Edge than before I Honed it..Paradoxically it Even Feels Sharper..There is a Harmonious Balance of Yin & Yang Forces...:D

    I am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed..:angelic007:

SOTD: Wonderful shave this morning with this heavy, old razor of Sheffield steel (early to mid 1800s) from Wm Greaves & Sons. Near stub-tail but with a long, heavy smiley blade.
Martin de Candre 'Fougére' soap and Musgo Real No. 3 'Spiced Citrus' finish.

What a shave and what a freeze I had - the Glacial Obsidian soap's black licorice scent filled the bathroom, the lather was so rich, slick, and frigid. My Super Speed's Astra blade skated across my face and left me BBS as BBS could be in two easy passes. The Glacial Obsidian balm went on so comfortable and cold, while the Arctique aftershave splash froze me to smithereens! :happy088: :happy088:

    Razor: Personna Flexhead
    Blade: Gillette Twinjector (7)
    Brush: Unknown
    Pre Shave Oil: Homemade
    A/S: Gillette Gel/Brut
    Newspaper Date: May 16,1945

" Bad Day at Black Rock" 1955 movie - Spencer Tracey, pretty close analogy for today`s shave. Nothing went right. The meds failed me to start with, then all the nicks and weepers, so I had to change to a pivot razor, what better than something with a Twinjector? Finished by shaving around the wound on my neck( shaved real lightly over the top of it, then a band aid with polysporin. Hope it heals soon so I can get back to my rotation. Two passes, 1st - XTG/ATG/WTG(cuts, nicks and weepers, lots of styptic and tissue. Finally 2nd pass, mainly WTG, with a light touch. Eventually a decent shave to face the world. Disappointed, better luck to the rest.
