Hey Friends,

today was my very first shave with my new Feather Professional Artist Club SS.


Feather Professional Artist Club SS / Feather Pro Guard / Figaro Noir / Plisson Snythetic / Faena Xylon & Myrtle AS + Balm

Wow!!! I never thought, that a first shave with a razor which you didn´t used before, can be so good. At the first strokes i thought it will be a very rough shave because i felt the blade on my skin and it felt not that comfortable. And my technique seemed to be not the best...but i was wrong. I had the courage to shave all 3-passes. No nicks, no cuts...nothing!!! After finishing my shave, i wanted to try my new Aftershave and Aftershave Balm from Faena.

So i had the fear, that the Aftershave could sting and burn very hard because of my technique or something like that. But...NOTHING!!! No stinging or burning...so i looked at the Ingredient List to see if there is Alcohol in it...there is. I wondered more and more...Do i have a technique that is good enough to have such a great shave direct at the first time or is the Aftershave that good?! I don´t know bit i´m more than happy about this shave. I enjoy the scent and the great skincare of the Aftershave Balm.

Let´s see how to enjoy these tropical Temperatures here in Germany...

Superb Sunday Shave
The Bronze Shadow made extremely thick lather from T&H, cushioning two neck passes and three face passes with the Futur on six. No hint of discomfort at all. I finished up with CF Sherlock- I really like the scent and my skin is left smooth and soft without overly tightening.

Italy: Not To Forget​

Not to forget. Last week in Italy - central Italy - we had a striking earthquake which literally destroyed some lovely towns near Latium, Marches and Umbria, the latter one is my region. My city - Perugia - was not affected by the tragedy of the quake and we did not report any damage or casualties, although this happened not so far from here. Our thoughts are of course to the ones who lost everything, beloved ones, house and all the things of their lives which has of course changed a lot, maybe forever. My shave of the day is in memory of those who lost their lives because of the quake, sending a strong encouragement to those who are still there and survived to the quake to not give up, despite how hard and terrible this is, we all have to go on and work hard in order to stand up and keep on walking the path of life. I am also sending my gratitude to all firemen, men and women, volunteers and all those who gave a little of their life to help others in this tragedy. Not to forget.​

So glad you were not affected by the terrible earthquake. Our prayers go out to those who lost their homes and family members.

 

An absolutely wonderful shave which was so enjoyable. The beautiful scent of Rod's Barbershop soap is so old-school, the lather whips up so easily and rich with a great brush like my Plissoft synthetic with perfect blade glide. This soap is also very moisturizing and protective against irritation or razor burn. A couple of splashes of the Mosswood aftershave felt so good and made me smell like I just left a 1970's barbershop. For this coming week I'll be using my Parker R22 with an Astra blade.

 

I think I'll save my second "city block"(how do you like that, @ezlovan?)of Barbershop bath soap for Clubman. I think it'll be a great combo. Still a lot of the first city block to work on.
