Where you see the blade in the photo is actually the stropping/honing mechanism. You actually take the blade out and mount it in the handle in the front of the picture. It then effectively becomes a straight razor on a handle.
Very nice find! Repeaters look awesome, and are mechanical which is cool. Hope you like the way it shaves.
Just ordered a few things from Shave Revolution's sale. Soapy Bathman- cedar Sandalwood Mason Boutique- Maya Shave Revolution shave soap Haven't tried any of these brands and look forward to checking them out.
That looks like a very good B2. One of my favorites it delivers an excellent shave. Just load it by hand, no more difficult than any other razor really. Congrats!
The Kai SE disposable razors have intrigued me for quite a while now - I mean a KAI-made disposable SE razor that many people actually like - and even compare it to the Mongoose...and that cost $2-3 for five razors..AND an option for SS or Carbon blade... I just had to find out for myself how they are The handle is folded metal btw. "Normally" these razors are either the Blue (Carbon blade) or Gold-S (SS). You can order either of them on Rakuten Blue and Gold . Me, I was lazy and picked up my packages on Amazon in a box with all Japanese so no idea what will be inside them (I'm guessing maybe blue..or green(?) as it says carbon blades... (And sorry I think I took the last two). Some reviews of these little guys: Kai Gold-S on B&B and this one Leothoughts Kai Blue review on B&B *Photos below from the internet Kai Blue/Green: Kai Gold-S:
Today I ordered a Merkur Progress (long handle) a jar of Proraso Red pre shave cream and ten Gillette Silver Blue blades to try.
Having great luck finding Fat Boys in the wild, one of our members got his in the mail today. Soon I'll get to try two new-to-me items. A Schick G-1 and Cella soap.
I intend this to be my last purchase of the year (don't laugh) as I have plenty to play with and keep me busy for probably the next couple of years A cheap Chinese shavette and a pair of Gold Dollar 66's
Nice razors! I wish you luck with not buying any more shave gear for the year, it is not easy and takes a lot of discipline.
