I have a Robert Williams Purist with a wicked spike point and heel when I want to see some blood. When I need a real blood letting I pull out a shavette.

 

MD Barber straight, sold as shave ready. (It wasn't, and I had to disassemble the razor to remove the spacer that was hitting the blade, I sanded the ugly paint off as well, and added my own kind of ugly. You can also see where I tried to drill a spot for a pin to be a blade stop, before I disassembled the scales.) I suspect this razor is of Chinese or Pakistan origin. MD Barber won't say. They did say they get the blades honed up to 12K, and finish them to 30k by hand. They also offered to replace this one, but I wanted to try to do it myself. I need to spend more time with it, but I got an SAS with it today.
