Well do you? When you are done with one side of your face do you spin the razor around to do the other? Seems simple, but I just figured that out. :ashamed001 I'm an unbashed newb and like I have said before, 4 a.m. does not a clear thought make.
:rofl No credit involved when it is knowledge based. Unless spinning a razor causes you to win the lottery. Then I want 30%.
What was the post by Sejanus about? I've recently started "spinning" (perhaps flipping or rotating are better words?) DE. I had always tried to use only one side of the blade and then after a few shaves when it was getting dull I would switch to the other side. One day it occurred to me to just switch each stroke to get even ware. I felt pretty stupid for not having thought of it. I will often do a stroke or two with one side, rotate ,1-2 strokes, wash. Sometimes I do 1-2 strokes, wash, rotate, 1-2 strokes, wash, rotate. Sometimes i find it awkward to rotate the razor if the blade of my hand is slippery with lather.
Oh I had just mentioned in another thread that I spin my razor to promote even blade wear. That was it. It is the numbered blade thread "Am I cheap...".
I use the following method: Shave, Flip, Shave, Rinse, repeat... This is the most efficient way I found as you only rinse the razor every other turn.
I turn the razor after each stroke. That way I keep the blade equally used on both sides and dont wind up wasting half a blade. It would suck to have one dull side and one sharp side, and than figuring out which is which.
I agree that it's the most efficient by far...I just sometimes end up rinsing between rotation if I get too much lather on my blade.
