I understand why that could happen. Old Spice Aftershave and Cologne are excellent.

Glad it worked out for you. I need to pickup another one for The General. If you like the Alum Mongoose, you HAVE to try The General.

A really 'fun' shave this morning as I tried out an all metal SE, disposable razor by Kai.
It's small and very lightweight but did a surprisingly good job at the shave this morning and absolutely a razor I'd consider throwing in the bag for a weekend get-away. At about 50 cents/razor it was great fun to try it out :)

Hot Water Prep & Massage with Argan Oil
    Rolls Razor
    Hollow Ground Blade
    Fitchard Pure Badger
    Valobra Tallow soap
    Humphreys Witch Hazel

I had the Most Wonderful Shave with My Rolls for the SE September Celebration..A Most Perfect Every Darn North to South & East to West BBS Result was Had with this Grand Old Shaver..I Haven't Shaved with a Factory Blade Razor in Months & No Wonder..I have been Shaving with SRs & Occasionally Hollow Ground Blade SEs..:D

After I Honed this Blade Sometime Ago I got Kinda Thinking..These Rolls Blades are Designed to Be Stropped & Honed in the Rolls System with Some Amount of Pressure that Most Hollow Ground Blades would Not Stand Up Too..I Cant Quit Figure what they have Done to Edge to Sustain this Kinda Treatment..Any Roads..On that Note..I Decided to Hit the Chromium Oxide for 30 Laps or Whatever I thought it Would Take to get a Darn Fine Killer Finished Edge after Coming Off the Hone..;)

On the Factual Knowledge that the Rolls Uses a Pressurized System I Used some Pressure on the Chrom/Ox Pasted Paddle Strop..Well Darn Me all the Way to Hell & Back..I had a Killer Edge but Still Very Smooth..Now..I Would Never Do that Amount of Laps on Chrom/Ox with any Other Blade Never Mind the Pressure..If You Attempted this Method with a Swedish Steel CV Heljestrand or any other SE Hollow Ground Blade it would just have a Negative Effect..Far Too Much Gun so to Speak..The Rolls Blade is Different from any Other SE Hollow Ground Blade for Sure..:)

    I Am Dolphin Smooth & Refreshed...:kar:

    20160902_202656.jpg

    Prep: gustafsons woodlands
    Razor: Gillette Redtip
Blade: Gillette Wilkinson Sword (4th shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: Tallow & Steel- Rainforest
    Post: T&S Classic aftershave

2 pass shave today, first time with the T&S products. The soap has a nice citrus woodsy scent and made a thick lather. The aftershave feels great on the skin and several hours later I can still pick up the scent. Got a really great BBS shave. Hope everyone else had the same results.

    PAL S/S Adjustable
    Schick NOS Plat [ 5-Sweden]
    Alum Rub/Rinse off
    Floyd Vigoroso A/S Lotion

After the PAL Injecto Matic yesterday , had to be the PAL Adjustable. Whilst the former is fairly aggressive I find the
Adjustable to be as smooth as silk. I hover between a medium setting + 1 , and get a most comfortable and close all round shave. This for me outshines the Schick Adjustable , despite that razor being able to use a twin blade. I would really like to try out a Schick O type to compare it with the PAL , but they are extremely rare.

Excellent shave this morning with the PAL Adj. loaded with a Dutch Danglies. Wonderful, slick, beautifully scented lather from the IB Milionario shave soap. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth refreshing finish. Have a great day guys. :)

@ClaudioBP may I ask what razor model is that showing above because I've never seen or heard of this before which I'm unable to pin point it, never mind I got it is a Daune Shavette never seen this before.

    Cheers ;)

    Spicy Saturday
Ginger's Garden Argan cream is the real deal. Tons of yogurty lather exploded from the Silver Shadow after a short loading out of the tub. The scent changes slightly during the shave, too. Der Futur made easy work of my stubble in two passes on six for my neck, and thee on my cheeks. I finished up with the matching aftershave which nails the explosive spicy scent and provides plenty of moisture.
    Prep: Myrsol Emulsion
    Cream: Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade
    Brush: Brothers Bristles Silver Shadow
    Razor: Futur
    Blade: Voskhod
    AS: Ginger's Garden Spice Grenade

    Today's shave
Hot water wash with a washcloth
    FS Pur-Tech/ whipped dog butterscotch
    Cyril R Salter French Vetiver
Clauss 107 3/4 full hollow round end
    Heavy Iced Crusella&Co Vetiver
Todays shave was excellent. I'm lovin' the funk of salter's vetiver, and it performs so nicely. Three passes with a razor I call the "rollin'107", (its a clauss 107, restored by @HolyRollah). Excellent shave. Finished the heavenly funk with the heavily mentholated vetiver for a chilling candy sweet afterfreeze.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20160903_071257_resized.jpg
