    The Empire is a Luxury Shaver with the Hollow Ground Blade Properly Sharpened..Some of these Older Hollow Ground Blade SEs can take a Modified Gem Blade like the Empire but they Aint even Sniffing the True Potential of the Razor..The Same can be said of all SEs that were Designed for a Stropping Blade..Modern Gem Blades just Don't Offer the Original Shaving Experience of these Razors..;)

    This morning's setup was a Schick G8, RazoRock Essential Oil of Lime, a StrongSet brush and a Captain's Choice bowl. I've had a problem with this G8 being loose. It actually rattled if you shook it and the blade could move. But I managed to bend the spring slightly and now it's right. The shave was one of the smoothest I've gotten from an injector. I've also got to say that a real lather bowl is completely different than the "Walmart specials" I've been using. Without changing anything else Ive noticed the lather is thicker and there's more volume. What a nice way to shave!
