    Nice price on it.

With the injectors i find each one slightly different. Start with the head flush. Then while you are shaving lower the handle very slightly. It will become VERY obvious when you have the angle for you. Then it is a matter of keeping it.

Thanks gents. I think with the repeating schick I had too much of an angle. I'll keep that in mind with tomorrow's shave when I'll use it again

I find my B and C's i get a better shave by dropping slightly. All the others except for the PAL adjustable, head to face works great.

    Picked up two things this weekend;

    1) An old Simpson brush catalog outlining the handle shapes they made back when this was printed.
It's about 30 pages and if anyone is interested I could scan/photograph the booklet and post it
    [IMG]

    2) A vintage Plisson brush
I always 'worry' when I win with the only bid on an item.. :)
This one I bid $29 on and that ended up getting it.
It could be horn but not 100% until I get it. We shall see.
Will also be interesting to see how the knot takes to some cleaning and straightening out. Could work.

You find the most interesting things. It's almost as if you have a honey hole that you keep going back to.

Waiting for this metal, hand made 'Chubby' by our very own @twhite
The knot in the photo is a TGN 28mm Finest 'Hybrid' knot. Here shown before gluing it in at a 56mm loft.
Tom even sand blasted it to get this satin/matte finish for me.

Super excited about this one :)

I met a great fellow retired Navy Chief that lives pretty close to me, and does a fantastic job restoring old razors. I had a honing session with him a while back, which has helped me hone a bunch of ebay finds. Now that have our wedding paid for I finally had some disposable cash, and contacted him about getting a Wade & Butcher. He said he had a couple 7/8 square points and a few 13/16 Barbers Notches in his awaiting restoration pile. I chose a 7/8 square point, and will be picking it up Saturday morning. Saving PayPal fees for him and Shipping costs. It will give me a chance to see his new belt grinder too. Here is a picture he sent me of it.

I know cartridge razors are not seen as being overly exciting but I was rather thrilled to be able to buy this Wilkinson Kompakt in gold. The kompakt is an absolutely fantastic razor - and, happens to be, designed by the genius Sir Kenneth Grange :)

I ordered a Razorock Plissoft Monster today from Italian Barber. For $10.99 US I couldn't go wrong. However, shipping was as much as the brush.
If anyone out there has one, I'd like to hear your thoughts on them; negative or positive. Thanks.

Waiting for 4 badger knots ordered from a couple different suppliers in China. They're destined for the handles of some "vintage" boar brushes I purchased from a small town antique shop while travelling earlier this summer. Love hitting those out of the way shops .... 4 brushes and 3 gillette safety razors which cleaned up very nicely, all for $35 Ca (about $26 U.S.). Sure beats Ebay prices and shipping costs. Also awaiting the arrival of 3 more Plano tackle/storage units (Amazon) which are partitioned perfectly for the storage brushes and razors.
