Thank you. I think I got the Pacific Rush at Dollar General, but it may have been on of the other dollar shops.

Oh yes. The feathers are my favorite modern injector blades. Well worth the extra few minutes to cut to size.

That is an early E2 that opens correct?

I have to try those blades some day. Do they last longer than the DE versions? I only got about 3 good shaves from them but they were great shaves.

I get 5 to 6 great shaves pretty much the same as the Chicks. Only sharper and just as smooth.

    Brush- AOS Fine Badger
    Razor- GEM MMOC/Ever-Ready 1924
    Blade- GEM
Soap- Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Post Care- Crystal Alum
    Thayers Witch Hazel
    Bombed Old Spice Lime

I'm going to call this a "WTH" shave. I'm not too sure what went wrong today. I got more weepers today than the last couple months combined, and on both sides. I swapped the blade from the 1912 into the Ever-Ready so they had the same number of shaves. I used the Ever-Ready in my right side and the GEM on the left. Both were very smooth, lots of audible feedback. I had no tugging at all yet major irritation on the GEM side and weepers on both. I've used this Stirling soap many times before and never had this issue. I wasn't rushed, I'm at a loss what went wrong. I'm not even counting this towards my razor trial as neither side was any good today. I will say that I'm dolphin smooth but nonetheless it's not a good finish. The Old Spice burned like crazy but at least I smell good. Have a great day folks!

    Le Coq Rasoir
    Le Coq wedge blade
    Fine Angel Hair synthetic brush
Chiseled Face Groomatorium Summer Storm soap & aftershave

Another close shave from a fine French hoe. This may be my most aggressive hoe (gotta watch those aggressive hoes) although that may be due to the blade. It had a few nicks in the edge which required removing significant metal in order to eliminate them, leaving the blade with a slight "smile." The Le Coq uses blade stops to position the blade so this results in most of the blade edge being further forward on the comb, increasing blade gap. I'll have try it with a non-smiling blade and see if it makes a difference.

Today's shave was extremely close and smooth, although the aftershave had more than the usual bite. Then again, the Chiseled Face Groomatorium aftershaves have a pretty high alcohol content. My face feels great now. :happy088:
