    Do you have any sense of the percentage of E2's out there that are of the early non-fixed spring variety? More or less common than the fixed spring? I'm definitely gonna have to get me another.

    There are 4 Models of the Type E 2..Here are 3 of them in Order...The 1941 Type E 2 is the One on the Right with the 1st Centred Spring Set Up..The 4th One Looks the Same but Doesn't have the Circles Embossed on the Top ..Percentage..The Ones that Open Come Up quite Often..:)

    Looks very similar to the top one. I thought they were both G1's.

    Yes, since it has both patent numbers under the head it is a G Type. There are some Gs that have a more butterscotch looking handle so it appears you have one of those. :happy088:
