    Dove Men Face Wash
    Old Spice Fresh Lime
    Jayaruh #18
    Schick G-3
    Schick Stainless
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    T.N. Dickinson's WH
    Pinaud Vegetal

The Old Spice Fresh Lime Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #18 silver tip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick G-3 razor with a Schick Stainless blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Cobra Classic razor
    Rudy Vey beehive brush
    Tabac shaving soap
    Tabac edc
This will be day four with the Cobra and its been fantastic. It's an aggressive razor and loaded with an AC pro blade it can be down right dangerous if not careful. I am loving the close shaves though.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160914_211027.jpg

    Prep: Occams crushed lime
    Razor: Gillette Redtip
    Blade: Lord (2nd shave)
    Brush: Omega s synthetic
Soap: Wickhams Super Smooth- Club Cola
Post: Lucky Tiger/ CC North Balm

2 pass shave this evening, love the scent of this soap, smells like Cola with a citrus note to it. Much closer than yesterday's shave, tad bit of irritation but the North Balm and LT soothed the skin quite well. Hope everyone had a great shave!

Thank you Paul! I was lucky enough to pick up the Wickhams soap when they had the SS line on clearance to make room for the new 1912 line.

    Grand Blade Trial
    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (9)
    Blade - [IMG] (3)
    Soap - Arko
    Brush - Semogue 620
Post - Alum, Aqua Velva Musk

Whew! Busy day at work today. Two bosses in the store for awhile. Changing product again, or part of it anyway, so lots of floor planning and all that goes with it. Then, got home and realized American Horror Story started its new season tonight. Sorry guys, that had to be watched. So, finally, let's talk about this morning.

Final day on the Crystal and the Slim was wide open. This blade gave a decent shave at 2, a fantastic shave at 6 and.....at 9.....well let's just say I was amazed. Still smooth. The blade was a bit more noticeable but not in any kind of bad way. Just "there" more. And two passes essentially had this shave finished off with a BBS. A quick ATG and Slide touch up pass just to make sure and there it was. Nearly the perfect shave, if such a thing exists. Alum proved just a touch noisy and the Musk raised a sting but that's a good thing. Settled right down and my face still feels great and fairly smooth. I have to say, this blade did a better job than the Personna Platinum. Yes, I'm calling it. The Crystal did better than its supposedly top-line cousin, the Israeli Red.

I have another one of these blades in my possession so I see it being put in a direct head to head contest with another blade in the future. Just curious how it would do against the Voskhod. Won't happen for a bit, but it's on the future "to shave" list.

Tomorrow I move to the Q-Ball, another Israeli that I've seen some good reviews of. Not sure how they're producing these differently from one another but I'm willing to say that the Crystal is NOT a re-branded Red. Let's see if the Q-ball continues that opinion.

    Thur 15th Sept.

    Omega 11137 boar
    De Vergulde Hand soap
    ER 1924 + S/S handle
    Gem PTFE [ 3 ] + 1/2 spine shim
    Alum Rub/Rinse off
    Myrsol Antesol A/S Lotion

Pleased to say that with the shim and handle , the 1924 shaved very smoothly and the finish was really close. My only problem area was around the tip of the chin, where I could not get the angle quite right.

The 1924 and 1914 alternate in my personal rankings, so the obvious choice for Friday has to be the 1914 to see how it fares. Have not yet converted one for use with a Long Handle , but am thinking maybe !

Excellent shave this morning with the Alumigoose. Today I tried the Kai Captain Sharp blade and found it to work beautifully. I'm thinking a lot of the mystique surrounding this razor and these different blades is more down to technique than anything else. Wonderful lather from the Speick shave cream. This is one of my favorites, it's almost as though it keeps multiplying after the initial face lather. Three easy breezy passes for a refreshing dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends.
