Last weekend I bought some shaving items at an antiques shop and the owner told me he had more buried in the back. I made an appointment for today to help him dig out the tubs. It is an understatement to say I found shaving nirvana I bought 85 razors and some odds and ends as a lot. I am still walking on clouds. The Gillettes The best of the Gillettes. The Fatboy is NOS and in the original shipper. The engraved set is gorgeous. The Schicks were pretty exciting as well. The SE's include an NOS Darwin and a German 7 day set. The travel razors. The odds and ends include two Barbasol Floating Heads, a Private label slant (possibly Hoffritz)and a Grand Shave King. A nice shaving kit. Some homes and soap. Two straights. And a razor that I am not familiar with but liked the looks of. Who can tell me about a Roberts? I think it is safe to say I will never have a find like this again
And that's why I chat up sales clerks at thrift and antique stores. Superior Haul! Was there anything left?
