I normally don't use in a can shaving creams like the rest of you for DE shaving but sometimes I'm on the road or in a hurry and so I'm looking for a shave cream...and a link to where I can buy it...that is super lubricating, slick, moist, like butter, or whatever you want to call it that won't dry out on my skin...for the length of the shave...after it is properly hydrated. The best I've found so far Nivea For Men Skin Essentials. Shaving Gel skin guard. Moisturizing...protects against dryness...normal to dry skin. This is the best I've found off the shelf. If anyone knows of anything better please let me know! Thanks my friends!
Anthonly Logistics Shave Cream. http://www.anthony.com/index.cfm/a/catalog.prodshow/vid/342/catid/206 Lord & Tailor, C.O. Bigelow, still may be at bath and body works. On the other hand, a brush and a small sample of cream would last a couple days and be the same size as a can of cream.
:happy102 I one time was travelling to Europe, and I had my brush, a/shave, DE, but strangely enough no shaving soap or cream with me. Do you folks know what I lathered up with? Well, there was a bar of Dove soap in the hotel bathroom! For ten days, that's what I used, and it was not so bad at all. It sure works better than any canned stuff.
The only canned stuff I can really say I like is Proraso foam, and even that, just once in a very blue moon! Armand
I hear you crackstar...Dove soap can give you a lot of lather. Sometimes when you have to make do with what you have it works. Although right now I'm looking for a cream that is slick, lubricating beyond belief and won't dry out until the END OF THE SHAVE! Hard to find!
I think you can find some reviews of the anthony logistics cream in the review section here. There seem to be a good bunch of people who love the stuff for traveling. You can use it with or without a brush so I hear.
In Germany it is said that Speick foam should be one of the best. I haven't tried it. The other preferred can foam is Noxzema. http://de.youtube.com/watch?v=NVHw4UFhIv0&feature=related
Burts Bees makes a brushless that is nice and slick doesn't dry either. Good smell too. Drys out on the skin quick so you kinda have to do one side then the other.
