1. Jim @Jayaruh brought up the approach of OC in another thread so it seemed appropriate to open the thread in preparation.

October 2016 is fast approaching and that means using OC safety razors, All Open Comb razors are welcome including Double Edge and Single Edge. So if you are planning on focusing on using an Open Comb Razor all or part of the OCtober post the shave reports here.
  2. I am definitely planning on participating in OCtober Open Comb focus. I have seven OCs: six are DEs and one is a SE. All of my OCs are vintage razors. Love the OCs.

I will use each razor once each week moving to the next razor each day. That means that I will get five shaves out of three razors and four shaves out of the other four.

In the top picture, left to right: Gillette Single Ring, 1911, German travel razor, Gillette Old Type with Maggard fatty handle, English made Goodwill, Gillette NEW SC, Frankenrazor (Gillette Fat Handle Tech top cap and handle with NEW LC bottom plate), GEM Micromatic Open Comb.

  5. I will be participating in OCtober. I don't have many OC razors, however, I have a few handles of varying weights and lengths, which I will use to make for an interesting month and reviews. Thanks for the early start @clint64. :happy088:

  17. I understand. In DE razors I prefer OC.
  18. I will be using modern OC razors for OCtober. From Left to Right, Wolfman OC Ti with increased blade gap, Timeless OC and Wolfman OC standard blade gap.
