I'm going to step in here to give my opinion on the "twin blade " that some of my brothers think are so great. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be banned. First thing they are expensive. Next they are short lived. Now as far as the shave goes the difference between a "twin" and a decent Schick blade is so minor that it's really not even worth mentioning. You probably are thinking what I'm totally off the rails but they really aren't that great. Pretty good but not awesome. This is of course my opinion and everyone has one but don't go out of your way for the "twin "

How many times have you used a twin?
How many lifetime injector shaves have you done?
How many specific razors have you used more than 20 times?

If it wasn't for twin blades I would have PIF'ed my Schick Adjustable by now and what it did for the N1! I'm not even gonna get started on this one. BTW I'm getting 6 to 7 unreal shaves out of them. First time I disagree with you Mike, sorry! :p

I'm a pretty solid user of injector razors of all types from the repeating razors to the last ones. The whole alphabet A through N. I bought a lot of 20 twins and have used them in every razor that they fit. So if your point is do I have experience here ? Very much so. Anyway like I said this is just my opinion and everyone has at least one.

Yeah, I was just wondering if you were new to injectors. I've never actually tried a twin.

The best advice is to get some and see for yourself. Based on the experience of so many on this board and others, the odds are overwhelming you'll be blown away by how they transform the Schicks that take them. :happy088:

If you find otherwise, I am certain you will have no problem whatsoever finding someone to buy the twins for what you paid. By the way, buying the vintage ones from eBay is less expensive than buying the current Japanese made ones. :)

Kudos to @Redfisher for his willingness to be a lone voice in the wilderness.

Wonderful shave with the Schick N1 this morning loaded with a twin blade. Excellent lather from the RazoRock Mudder Focker shave soap. This soap provides excellent post skin feel. Three easy breezy passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day guys. :D

Just acquired a rather grubby ER Razor - New Chrome Strop Outfit [ see top of Box ], on side of box it is described as Chromium Plated Razor & Strop. Everyone calls them Streamline Razors!, though they may be called an Ambassador if in a flat lock box, a Jewel in a Metal Case, and a Streamline if in a single Clamshell box.

I have purchased Twin Blades from Japan ,and think they work very well in the Schick Adjustable , and fair in other Schicks. Unless you are an Schick Adjustable fan not really worth the extra cash. I perhaps brought too many based on Hype, but will not rush to buy more.

I actually prefer the PAL razors which only take single blades anyway, I have tried Japanese Schicks which IMHO are better than Chick ones , which if you buy in UK are a similar price to the Japanese imports. I have some nice NOS singles, which shave nicely in most razors.

Today was the inaugural shave for my new new Schick adjustable... That I promptly dropped, bounced off the cabinet and landed onto the tile floor!

    Well, no damage done!

Anyway, loaded with the twin blades that I had left over from the pass around, and on a setting of 5, I got a BBS in 2 passes! It was a very smooth and comfortable shave and a great way to close out SEptember.

This thing is my own little time machine! Now I know what it must have been like opening one up for the first time in the 1960s! I saved the instructions, blade blank and cardboard insert to whoever the next owner may be in the far away future.

With all the focus I've put on injectors and SEs over the last two months, I'm now hooked on these razors and I'll be sure to keep them at the forefront of the rotation going forward!
