I'm pretty sure the only difference between the two is the handle. With the Grande having the thicker heavier handle. Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
I use all kinds, but I prefer sharpness over smoothness. My favorite are GSB, Astra SP, Rapira PL, Sputnik, Pol Silver, 7 O'clock Super Platinum. Just to name a few. Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
Yep he did do a shave with one of them. I have not shaved with it yet, it will get its first go this month. Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
OCtober 1, 2016 Razor: 20's Thick Cap Ball-End OT Blade: Astra SP (2) Brush: VdH Boar Soap: Williams A somewhat inauspicious start to the month. I transferred the blade from yesterday's shave from the Tech to the OT for this shave. From the first, though, I felt tugging. My thinking is that I either did something to the blade or messed up the soap somehow. Nevertheless, I forged ahead riding the cap and using a (for me) extremely light touch. Made it though two passes with a CCS, no blood, and no complaints from the Alum. Next time, we'll try again with a new blade.
Hi guys, had some pretty busy weeks lately ... not much time to post here or elsewhere. But things calmed down and I'm ready for another fun month with all of you Since I just received a new razor and a nice collection of soap samples from Mystic Water, this will be my focus items: I have never used a shavette-type razor before. So I'll try to master the Feather AC and at the same time decide on 2 or 3 MW soaps I might buy in the near future. Brush will be the Maggard 22mm Synthetic Blade-wise I'll start with the Feather Professional, might try the Professional Super once I'm confident enough I won't fix myself to one aftershave, although I'll probably use Tüff 90% of the time. First focus shave will be tomorrow's
Razor: Timeless OC w/Timeless TRH1 Handle Blade: Wilkinson Sword (1) Brush: Simpsons CH1 Chubby Best Badger Soap: Jeeves Soaps Private Study Aftershave: Myrsol Agua Balsamica I only have a few OC razors and a few handles, so I will focus on the difference the handles make with each OC head. This Timeless OC provides a very close comfortable shave. I've never used the Wilkinson Sword blade with this razor, but I did get a great shave tonight.
I really like how that razor looks. I may have to invest in one someday. Your pictures are great, Doug.
Some of the three piece Coopers take a propriety blade but not the Monobilt. I'll take a pic of it for you later. It's really interesting the way the blade mount works with the swing top. Sent from my Galaxy S6 using Tapatalk
I couldn't wait to post my weapon if choice for tomorrow's shave. I just got this in today, and I am looking forward to putting it to work. Koraat 8/8: Let me just say this is a hunk of steel. It is massive; much bigger than I had anticipated. Here is a little comparison to my Frederick's Celebrated Razor which is one my larger razors: It should be an interesting shave tomorrow. I am definitely looking forward to it.
