Thanks, Buddy. To be able to get that kind of smooth out of a razor that isn't especially prone to bite, is awesome.

The funnest part is that a guy can get into a pretty decent injector collection for about the cost of an EJ89.

Very lovely piece of kit there, my friend....You know, I had heard all that gossip about how over the top these 1924's were suppose to be....In fact when I got my first one I was a little nervous...but that razor design is perfect! I fell in love from the first stroke!

Marvelous shave with the PAL Adjustable this morning loaded with a Dutch Danglies blade. Excellent lather from the Speick shave cream. Highly recommended. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends. :)

    Blade
    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick L1 injector
Brush: Satin Tip 'The Purest' synthetic
    Lather: Stirling Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Barbershop aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

The L1 is working quite well for me. The G1 is still my favorite but the L1 is a nice, mild razor that works well for my workday shaves. My beard growth is fairly light and I don't need something aggressive for daily shaves. The L1 works well in that aspect.

    Have a great day!

Perry, how are you liking the Barbershop soap? I have a puck that I haven't used yet. The scent is quite nice.

I'm enjoying it! The scent is nice, as you say. The performance has been good so far. I think my badger brush might be better than the synthetic I've been using the past couple of days. I need to use it for comparison. But the lather is fairly slick and protective. I'd say try it sometime soon!

I had no intention of using a background as my laptop display is now black, backlight or inverter needs replacing. But before I took a photo with my camera, I realized there was a theme there so I looked up a Tall Ship image and used it. Have my laptop connected to my TV til it's fixed.

    Questions for you guys:

1: Are all the Personna/Pella injector cartridges (plastic) so stupidly difficult to feed blades?

2: Do they get easier to use when they don't have so many blades in them?

3: Can you re-load them into an empty Schick cartridge?

I haven't used either the Personna or Schicks enough to know which I prefer in which razor yet, but if it just is that way with Personna's I won't be buying anymore.

I think I used those 3 times and tossed the whole cartridge. I hate those Personna blades! :happy102:

If you're careful they can be reloaded. They load up fine in my Schicks.

Thanks. It looks like they will go in fine, was just wondering if they feed out okay.

If a razor's head is really tight the Personna magazines can be hard to use and I've even pulled the plastic housing off while trying to remove it. Usually, however, they aren't a problem. :) It's a good idea to try different blades in different types of razors as there can often be a significant difference in the shave. YMMV but for me the Personna tends to amp things up a little bit - so I find it works better on milder razors. :happy088:
