    :thanks:

You'll need to be either very patient or very lucky. They are quite rare.

That is true, but they aren't all necessarily made with the same materials or to the same specifications. I figure they are all worth a try at least to see what the differences are.

I always use OCs (ATT M2 and Wolfman), so in the spirit of OCtober, I bought a Gillette NEW SC. It was just delivered today. I'm looking forward to using it tomorrow and comparing it to my current razors.

I split time about equally between SE and DE razors but for DE it is almost always an Open Comb. Looking forward to your comments on the New SC. It's one I haven't tried yet.

Razor: Timeless OC w/TRH2 Pineapple Design
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (4)
Brush: Elite Razor Tres Amigo Desert Ironwood Beehive w/Envy White
    Soap: Route 66 Twisted Tweed
    Aftershave: Fine Platinum

The Timeless is a pleasure to use. When accompanied with the TRH2 handle it is very easy to maneuver around trouble spots. I like the 100 mm length also. Finished with a near BBS.

Valet Vc1 today with a GEM blade. Nice easy shave, I just went with the flow for a 2 pass near BBS shave before work. It looks like everyone is enjoying the OC razors! I know I am!

Happy Friday everyone. I had a friend request this razor head on his order from James last year. His/our ship came in July so this razor is still relatively new to me. A couple of things make using this razor a very different experience from my original Wolfman OC. First is the increased blade gap which certainly takes things up an aggression notch. It's not a R41 or a Ikon Tech but it is more than the standard. Also this one is much lighter than the original. I have to pay particular attention not to add pressure.

The Fine Platinum soap works fantastic in a shave stick. It is very concentrated and does not take much to produce enough lather for 4 or 5 passes. When properly hydrated the soap is pretty slick but the scent is fantastic. I loaded a new Feather in the Wolfman Ti and did a traditional 3 pass shave, WTG, XTG, and ATG. With very minimal clean up I almost caught the prefect shave. Today was easily the second best shave of the month thus far. I finished up the shave with a splash of the matching Fine Platinum Aftershave. Overall a great start to the day. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday.

Good morning everyone. I had another night shave last night. I'm trying out night shaves to see if it can help with the hectic mornings and rushing around trying not to be late. So far so good however I miss feeling that freshly shaven smooth face in the morning. The shave last night started out rough with lots of tugging and pulling, half way through the first pass I ditched the Voskhod and grabbed a twice used Polsilver. Once I made the change I was cruising on a freshly paved road in a Caddy, smooth! I don't know what happened with the Voskhod, the previous two shaves on it were delightful, I certainly expected a better longevity out of the blade. In any case the Pol Silver cleaned me up quite nicely and left me smooth and relaxed and ready for bed. Have a great day my friends. And for those still in the path of Matthew, please stay safe.
