Looks like a god shave setup Brian. Is that a Tuxedo knot? If it is do you like it?

Yes, it's a Tuxedo. I have several synthetic knots and this is far and away my favorite.

I just had my first shave with my NEW SC. It is by far my favorite of the vintage Gillettes that I have tried ( SS Flare Tip, Slim, Triangle Slot Tech ). It is the most efficient and has the most blade feel, which I like. I don't find it to be aggressive though. I don't think it will take over either my ATT or Wolfman, but I will definitely keep using it so I can mix things up once in a while. Now, I want to try the LC to see how it compares.

They say you can't go home again. After a couple months almost exclusively with injectors and single edges I went back to a New LC. While delivering an acceptable face shave, the head shave produced a bunch of nicks and a less close shave than I've grown used to. Cool factor aside, for me the injectors and light weight single edges are simply better shavers on all counts. I finished up happily with The General.

I finish up my seven razor rotation for OCtober with the MMOC, my only OC single edge razor.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The Wolfman OC and Timeless led me to sell my LC and New Deluxe since I didn't use them anymore.

    TabOCtober 7 SOTD:
    Razor: RazoRock OLD Type
    Blade: Treet Black Beauty (1)
    Brush: The Body Shop synthetic
    Lather: Tabac
    AS: Tabac

Today I had one of the best shaves ever. The lather was super slick with lots of cushion and residual slickness. I couldn't feel the blade on the WTG pass and could only feel it a little bit on the XTG pass. There was zero irritation and almost no sting from the alum block. Wanting to get shaves like today's is the main reason why I got into wet shaving. I was quite shocked at how well the blade performed for me. I was expecting an okay shave, but what I got was much, much better. I think I could happily shave with this combination for the rest of my days and be completely satisfied.

Razor: Timeless OC w/TRH2 Pineapple Design
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (5)
Brush: Muhle Chrome Plated Handle 31 M 89 w/ New V2.0 Silvertip Fibre Synthetic Bristle.
    Soap: Route 66 Twisted Tweed
    Aftershave: Folsom & Co. Capri
This finishes my first 7 days of my Open Comb focus. The is nothing I can say about the Timeless OC that you haven't heard before. This is a fantastic razor in my opinion. The different variety of handles provide by Timeless only adds to the fun. Each handle brings it's own unique personality to the save. None of the Timeless handles are slippery. I do believe you could put your hand in a bucket of oil and easily grip the TRH1.

Another day, another great Sheraton shave. This 1937 is still in its original patina. Feels a bit rough during the shave, but a nice smooth result.
