A little rough around the edges
This shave was excellent on my cheeks, but rough on my neck, especially the lower part. I'm still learning the best angles for this slant. The lather was thick and rich, so I fault my technique and maybe the rougher Personna blade, as compared to Voskhod. B-M Reserve Cool and WSP Tobacco balm took care of my neck irritation, though I will be very gentle tomorrow.

Shave 31. The John Clarke was calling to me and this was my second shave with it. This thing is surgically sharp. I dipped the point a little too much on one stroke and it made a nice little slice that took the capillaries at least 10 seconds to realize they had been cut. :shocked003: Because it is so sharp it's a great teacher of a light hand and staying on top of all variables.

This was my closest overall SR shave yet and the alum was relatively mild. It's starting to rival a decent injector shave. :happy036:

That is a very cool razor Brian. I really like the obscure ones.

I stopped trying so many different blades a while ago. Upon finding a few that I liked, I stayed with them. Perhaps my technique has improved and I should revisit some blades I tried earlier. Today Med Preps got another go. Quite an uncomfortable shave. Fairly close. Quite a few weepers. The hairs just didn't seem to want to cut.
I'm not sure if I will give this blade a second shave. I may be spoiled by the GSB's, Nacets, and the Kai's. Have a great shave everyone.

Did your blades come in a ten pack dispenser? Probably Personna Israel.

    Gillette New LC
    Feather blade (2)
    Kent BK4 brush
    Tabac shave stick
Thayer's Lavender witch hazel, unrefined shea butter, and Fine Platinum aftershave

I enjoyed a near-BBS, two-pass shave this morning before taking my Bride out for breakfast. I shaved slow and easy, paying attention to the basics, to avoid the occasional weepers I've been getting with this set up. The end result was one of the best shaves I've had the month. Compared to a few months ago, my technique now allows me to get an acceptable shave on most days without touch-ups after the second pass.

I hope everyone had a fantastic day!
