1. My Tuchmar razor came in today. I'm sorta impressed with the feel and form. I think it's going to be a nice shaver. $_1-12.jpg
  2. This Friedr. Schemper Beam was listed at a bargain price and I succumbed. I put in a low max bid and forgot about it. A week later I got a notice I had won at the minimum bid price of $9.99. Can't say I need this but how can you say "no" to some nice Solingen steel at that price? It's in nice shape. Full hollow 5/8 with a French point. :eatdrink047:

  10. As soon as I saw one for sale a while back, I knew I had to get one and along came this seller who actually had a good price on it, not an over blown price tag as other sellers do often on Ebay.

  12. Today I received something special:

    martin2.png

A German military (Bundeswehr) razor from the 70s, I guess, NOS, still welded in the original foil. With stainless steel blade and scales for easier disinfection, these same razors have also been produced in a "civilian" version for hospitals. The blade is almost 6/8'' and 3/4 hollow. Nice weight and balance.

I just had to have this one. It has my name on it. Literally!

  15. A couple of new things.

A Canadian Old Spice shaving mug for $20 and another novelty Mennen Skin Bracer bottle for $5. This one is "The Thinker" so I'm guessing he's thinking about shaving.

The Mennen bottle I posted a few days ago (man wearing a hard hat) is clear glass and nearly full of green aftershave. This one is green glass so he looks like he's full but he's actually empty.

  16. On Monday, I wandered over to our other building. I noticed this little lathe just sitting in the corner. So I went and asked the Manager whats up with the lathe.

He spouts back why do you want it? To which I reply HELL YES. Kind of thinking he was joking. His reply get it out of here. So now I have a little lathe.

Also found this belt sander for $10. I plan on using for cleaning up a few straights.

Now off to clean my lathe. [IMG]

  19. Jet makes some fine tool! I've used their planer, shaper, and a big belt sander. All wood working production.
I'm guessing that designed for turning metal?

  20. Yes it is. Now I can turn up brushes to my hearts content. I am thinking of trying to make a tracing attachment. That way I can replicate the same design.
