There's been a change in my planned shave! Here it is: Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster Junjie/Astra day 6 Proraso White S/S Italian Barber Amici A/S Splash Lately I've been busy showing some of my older and more neglected stuff some love, so now the Proraso White soap and the Amici aftershave will get some attention from me - they deserve it!
Saturday's Birthday Shave Dove Men Face Wash TABAC Jayaruh #109 silvertip badger Gillette Aristocrat (birth year razor) 7 am Plus Hi Platinum CWR, Asma Alum Block T.N. Dickinson's WH Aqua Velva Musk Today is my birthday, so I am taking a day off from OCtober and using one of my birth year razors, the 46-47 Gillette Aristocrat. Alas, I don't have an open comb from 1947. The TABAC Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #109 silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Aristocrat razor with a 7 am Plus Hi Platinum blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

That's what I did b y using the Rise A.S. Cooling Balm this morning....it'sb een neglected for quite a while, but it's nice to have.
It's not that expensive. I think the tubs are $3/Oz and the pucks go for a few bucks less. It's a great soap that doesn't get mentioned a whole lot.
SHAVE OF THE DAY Prep: Musgo Real classic Razor: Gillette Tech/ Somerset Blade: Laser (2nd shave) Brush: Omega s synthetic Soap: PAA Clubguy Post: LT Vanishing Cream/ Pinaud Clubman Got a great lather from the PAA, the scent is similar to Clubman but seems to be more powdery and without that Oakmoss note of Clubman. Anyways, got a decent shave with no complaints. Hope everyone also had a great shave!
Tonight I shaved with a cart, which is something I haven't done in several years. While dinking around on the Bay, I picked up an old Schick Super II handle, and bought some Personna Trac II/Super II blades from Amazon. It was a pretty comfortable, if not the closest shave. The lack of closeness could have been on me, since I am pretty used to no/low pressure. Left me with a pretty much DFS and no irritation shave. Not sure how many shaves I'll get from a cart, but considering that you can get 100 of them for less than $15, it isn't a bad deal all around. Fun to try for the Heck of it anyway. The Hot Apple Cider soap and splash from Stirling might be my all time favorite shaving scent. So many times, I find myself daydreaming about using it in the evening. I just love it. TLDR version: -Schick Super II w/Personna Cart (1) -Simpson Classic 2 Best -Sterling Hot Apple Cider Soap and Splash Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend, and Happy Birthday @Jayaruh!!
