    CB Rowan's Citrus Spice
    Gem Junior
    Stirling Unscented PSB
    Vintage Old Spice AS

Great shave with the Gem Junior this early afternoon. I am still slow and struggle a bit as I can't move/support myself too well yet, but I got a nice CCS. I have a few spots under my jaw that I just can't get too well. These will have to wait a while. This soap was juice and slick. The scent is reminiscent of a spiced holiday drink, and set up perfectly for some Old Spice in my opinion. It was a nice mid-day shave. I hope everyone has a great day!

Razor: Gillette Goodwill 1930's Ball End Open Comb (Made in Canada)
    Blade: Personna Platinum (6)
Brush: Shavemac Zebra, Honeycomb 2 Band
    Soap: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
Aftershave: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle Balm

Another near BBS today with this gear. The Goodwill OC is a fine razor and is easy to maneuver around trouble spots. The Shavemac combined with the Route 66 Bourbon Jungle whips up a thick rich lather.

    Grand Blade Trials
    Razor - 1962 (H1) Gillette Slim (6)
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
    Soap - Arko
Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

It's been stormy and rainy all day here like it's Spring or something. Nope, still OCtober. And, day two of the GSB Blade Trial. I opened the Slim up to 6 and exactly what I thought would happen happened. Three passes to a perfect BBS. This blade is one of the best and give it a bit of gap and let it run free and it just does everything perfectly. Smooth, nice audible feedback and just absolutely a fine, fine finish. Gillette made a gem when they made this one and it will be legend for as long as they are made and even beyond. Opening up to the 9 tomorrow should only enhance the feel and effectiveness and I am going to try for BBS in two with it.

Less than two weeks to the 31st and time for another Russian inspired costume for your consideration.

How about something with a sporting theme in honor of glorious tradition of athleticism and steroid....I mean....vitamin usage?

    Razor: Schick L1 injector
    Brush: Omega 10049 boar
    Lather: Stirling Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Barbershop aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Stirling focus continues and good shaves are still the result. The lather from the soap is top notch. I've really enjoyed this month of shaves so far. Tomorrow is a sidebar with Mitchell's. I always look forward to Fridays.

    Have a great day!

Another automatic 3 pass near BBS shave this morning. These types of shaves are my goal for work mornings, zero drama and excellent results. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Homemade Tangerine AS & Nivea Sensitive ASB

Good Morning everyone! Last time I shaved with this blade I decided that I wanted to get it a little sharper. Following Billy's advice I gave it 60 laps on the 1-micron film and then gave it 20 laps on the CrOx and IrOx and then 60 laps on the leather. It was definitely sharper than last time but still not quite as sharp as I want it. I completed 3 passes and ended with a DFS. I finished off with some of my homemade tangerine AS and Nivea Sensitive ASB. Have a great day my friends!

    Razor: Gillette 160 Goodwill
    Blade: German Wilkie (3)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: VdH Luxury

We will not speak of yesterday's shave. It was ill-conceived, rushed, and there was blood.

Today, we try to redeem ourself. No real changes except that I think the Wilkie needs a lighter touch so... off with the DeFitch handle and back to the stock handle.

Pretty much everything went fine until late in the second (ATG) pass when I managed to partially re-open a cut in my chin from yesterday and another nick from the day before that. A DFS marred by minor blood which stopped quickly with cold water and Alum.

At this rate, I may go back to Astra SP's for the rest of the month.
