I do one pass all over and then a touch-up pass on my neck and jaw. My upper face is smoother after one pass than my neck. My face can't handle multiple pass shaves each day.

I think the difference will be in whichever soap is the slickest. With creams I just need the one pass and, like you, do the neck-jaw touchup, but after my Williams experience I can see how the soaps will make the face feel softer.

Well, straight out of the box, I could tell that The 'Americana' was going to be a wonderful brush, and it did not disappoint... dense, with outstanding 'presence' (backbone)... Yeah, right up my street. The Reef Point was literally whipped into submission, and the BIC was a great match with the #2 plate. Awesome shave.

Coate’s Sandalwood Cream today. 10 seconds to load the Plisson Badger. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Wilkinson Light Brigade still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Burberry Brit EdT.

A 3 pass shave, WTG/ ATG and an ATG/XTG. The 3rd pass was for a detailed clean up, which yielded a Dolphin smooth shave (hooray) The Twinjector (double blades) is, I think the prime reason for these terrific shaves. So smooth, no matter which direction you stroke. Still must work on my lathering skills (in the tins), Proraso is so simple, even I can`t mess it up. Here`s hoping a BBS or better for all.

Just a simple, clean, comfortable, close, smooth...shave.

Unknown soap. Nice and slick and no scent at all.
My first time using a Russian blade(Vaskhod). Shave #3 and still feels good.
Walmart had a 50¢ coupon attached to the AV musk, so I finally picked up a bottle.

That's a lot of shave soap Hibco gave you- 3 oz. I guess you'll have that for quite a while!!

 

I recall as a teen-ager being pretty impressed with that Burberry Brit.
