I don't have the soap but I've got the post-shave. I wasn't sure at first but the scent has grown on me and it certainly isn't too much like anything else in the cabinet.
Here's a few new things acquired recently. First up is a 4oz bottle of Royall Vetiver Noir. The first store I found it in only had the sampler as they'd sold out their stock. Fortunately the next day another store I visited had plenty. Next up, a couple of talc bottles; both about half full. Five bucks for the Mennen and seven-fifty for the Pinaud. Lastly, a blade bank for five bucks. At least I'm calling it a blade bank since there's no access to the insides without using a can opener.
Wow, that soda pop can is old! Imagine a company now days bragging their product contains extra sugar?
Went to a Canadian /U.S. border town to pick up a brass and copper La Pavoni espresso machine. While there I stopped off at a local antique store and picked up these 3 U.S. Gillette razors. Typically the Tech's and L.C. Gillette's I find are Canadian. Nice to find these to add to rotation. The F.B. needs some T.L.C. to get up to grade. Did not need the F.B. as I have a VG example but for the price and the fact that it was a all in package deal. Here they are after a overnight soaking and scrubbing.
I slipped into an antiques store today and asked the guy behind the counter if he had any razors. He pulled this Dubl Duck Dwarf out of his desk drawer and said , "like this?" We agreed on a price and he mentioned that he had some sharpening stones behind the front door and wasn't sure if any were suitable for razors. I poked through the pile and found this stone on the bottom. Can any of you guys tell me whether or not I stumbled onto a Coticule?
Not shaving relating in the least - but it was great to get my brass spinner in the mail yesterday. Played around with it most of Sunday while doing errands - and having beers - downtown in the sun. Fun, harmless fidgety stuff. "Drinking and spinning is ok"
Barrister and Mann Hallows, Barrister and Mann Solarion, Cold River Soap Works Oliva Honeywood, Caties Bubbles '95 Liquid Labels This Hallows is legit, one of my favorite all time scents no doubt
Picked up a few soaps from Maggards a few days ago: Sapone Di Paolo- Earthy SDP- Blue Spruce Catties Bubbles- Connecticut Shade B&M- Leviathan Dr. Jon's- Propaganda Looking forward to tobacco Tuesday tomorrow so I can use the CB soap, smells similar to Beaver Wood right Captains Pipe, but a bit more dark and spicy. Connecticut Shade is unlike any other CB scent, and one of the best tobacco scents I have come across.
Received this rather neat NOS/unused, vintage butterscotch Kent V5B brush. Sadly, for the brush, its days of being unused will soon end.
Either a coticule or someone lost a paver. I'm saying coticule because I believe that you have the Midas touch!
