Todays kit, is certainly a strong contender for my favorite set-up!

On the subject of favorite shaving items....hmmm. In my limited experience, it seems today I used many of those favorites...

Certainly the Arko Shave Stick is my life-long favorite..

This is a vintage Stag (late 40's) badger brush :love029: , this is a refurb and gift from @GDCarrington . It's part of a matching set, that has a matching travel size Stag badger that you can barely see on the far right...These are definitely my favorite brushes for many reasons, and not the least of these is that they both whip up the best lather of any brushes I have had the pleasure of using to date..

This Schick Simplified Automatic Repeater is a gift from @Rufus T. I have several razors vieing for best razor, for different reasons. But this one just may be the winner. I certainly don't have any shaver that does any better, and certainly not with such style, grace & cool. But even without the cool factor, this may be my favorite shaver, period.:love055:

Thayer's Original Witch Hazel is definitely a favorite. Not only as a splash to 'seal the deal'. But also Fuzzy told me about doing your touch-up pass with just witch hazel and no lather. This is my favorite WH for doing that aswell...

On the right there is a chorus line of my favorite aftershaves...

About 30 mins. after liberally splashing with the Clubman Original/Special Reserve mix....I took a couple shots of Tom Ford's Noir EdT, which is also a favorite.

Today's shave was a two + touch-up pass that was as good as it gets! A true zin-like shave experience, and I'm feeling and smelling GREAT! :happy108:

Have a great rest of the week everybody!!!!!

    Stirling Synthetic 26mm
    Arran Aromatics Bay Citrus soap
    Gem CPMM brass
    Gem S/S [ 2 ]
    Floid Vigoroso A/S lotion

Continuing my little run with SE razors after a spell on Injectors. It is really good to pick up a Razor you have not used for a while , and feel certain all is going to work out well . That certainly was the case today, the CP is a very easy razor to use , and I had a very smooth and comfortable shave, with a pretty good all round finish.

Magnificent shave this morning with the Schick N1 loaded with a twin blade. Wonderful lather from the Figaro Monsieur Gold shave soap. Excellent, bountiful, slippery sweet smelling lather. Highly recommended. Three easy breezy passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Enjoy your day guys.

    Razor: Schick L1 injector
    Brush: Vulfix 2006c badger
    Lather: Stirling Barbershop
Post: Witch hazel splash, Stirling Barbershop aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Exceptional lather this morning with Stirling Barbershop and the Vulfix badger. I loaded a little longer than normal and added a touch more water as I went. The Vulfix is a little scritchy but has worked really well the past few days. Nice shave yet again this morning. Tomorrow I'll use Mitchell's Wool Fat in my traditional Friday shave. I'll close out the Stirling at the end of the month and go back to a rotation. It's been a good month of shaves. I'll add that the amount of soap in the container looks unchanged, even with all these shaves! Stirling lasts a long time.

    Have a great day!

    Today's shave
Hot water wash with nivea mens face wash and a washcloth
    FS silvertip (gel tips candidate)
    Soap Commander Endurance
    HYTONE 6/8 full hollow spike
    Dollar Store spice
Today's shave was ok. The FS silvertip is a top notch performer. SC modified per GDCarrington instruction, ddid great. The HYTONE is wickedly sharp, looked like a bloody mess after the second pass, ending close everywhere but my neck (rt). Washed up and finished with cheapo spice. Didnt turn out too bad. Not my very best, but prolly not too bad either(washcloth was yellow).
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20161027_081652_resized.jpg

    Parker/Scotch&Stowe franken razor
    Astra SP blade
    WD Sliver Tip brush
    Palmolive Mentholated SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Jason's Aloe Vera balm
M&L Florida Water cologne w/added menthol

Parker 94r handle = 58 grams. S&S handle = 78 grams. And that made a significant difference in the shave. With a normal 94r I get close, comfortable shaves that I enjoy. With the S&S handle the Parker head turned into a ravenous beast i.e. very very aggresive (to me). Being careful, I got a fine shave but no more of that combo. Love the Palmolive SC, it's performance and cooling factor are top notch. Now go enjoy your day folks

It got really cold here this morning so instead of getting an absolutely frozen face, I opted for a relatively mild cooling sensation from the Tcheon Fung Sing Sottozero soap. This stuff has such a nice minty scent and it lathers like a maniac. The menthol effect is hardly detectable during the first pass but it comes out somewhat more when you re-lather. It's a skin-friendly soap as well, and the Lucky Tiger a/s cream really gave me a good soothing, cooling feeling. Finally, the Skin Bracer gave me that "thanks, I needed that!" cold slap! What a good shave this was! :happy088: :happy088:
