That is an idea. I have a list of all owners. I count 35 owners. Two have three Jayaruh brushes. I have owners in the USA, Denmark, Germany, Canadia, and South Korea.
Received this rather unusual, vintage French razor in the mail. It appears that all pieces are made out of brass and it has a very nice weight and balance to it. I really like the handle design but what I am really curious as to is how the parallel grooves in the top plate will feel during a shave. One would think that grooves along the length of the top cap would making riding the cap difficult - but maybe the angle is such that it's not needed. Interesting enough though that it's up for a shave later this week
Some good, some notso, first a Naniwa hone 1000 grit. Good! Only $39 shipped. Could have saved the shipping but some guy made a delayed decision to buy more stuff. At least the "more stuff " has free shipping! Next is this straight razor. Interesting blade profile, I'm not sure if it was modified or not, if so it was done very well. Good! Last this Wade And Butcher wedge razor, a mistake really but the grind has been "butchered " for sure. Notso! I'll try to make something work.
I hear you buddy. The thing needs some serious metal removal. I don't want to trash my new Naniwa on this but I still have a DMT 325 coming that I had planned to use to slurry my other stones (Naniwa 3 +5 on the way) I bet it will do some work on this POS. But yeah it needs a huge amount of work.
Two Framebacks from France arrived today. Top: Soucille American Express Bottom: Veritable Broussard Cuillere Qualite Extra
Time you step up and start cutting your face all up like the rest of us. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Lol oh trust me... I'm on the verge of caving in! But I have to wait a little.. when I do though it's gonna be a frame back razor.
If I can use a straight, so can you. No doubt. Baby steps. Shave ready razor and a cheap strop, easy enough.
My Clubman items are here! Can't show em, so you'll just have to take my word for it! The shave soap is quite small,(2 oz), but should be good experience for getting larger ones later. And the Kent comb is NIICE....hand-made in the 19th century.
Tracking made me think I might not get my Fatip Piccolo until November 1st. Surprise! I get some bonus open comb shaves during OCtober.
