It bugs me when someone says, "I take responsibility for my actions, even when things go wrong." It's so much more eloquent to say "the system is rigged" or "you're wrong." :)

aahhhh yes.....,"at the end of the day". That one can be replaced with "in the end", "in the final analysis"....I mean, at the end of the day I go to bed.

I don't know...I can't put "eloquent" and "rigged" in the same thought.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this before and I'm too lazy to look:

    lie-berry for lie-BRary
    fuss-tray-ted or fuss-TER-ated for FRUS-trated.

On the latter, it's always hard for me to figure out if it's that or "fLuss-trayted".

Yes. They become mi'en and ki'en. Also happens in a lot of other words with t's.

A'ight. I don't hear it at all where I live, but when I lived over near Detroit, that word was used a lot. Along with aks, and just poor grammer, and crappy English.

Umm ... that is normal English ... British maybe?

A pocket is a cluster of something that's different from it's surroundings. Don't know if it's regularly used in that context in the USA though.

Using "shall we say" in about every sentence.

Though I have a great colleague who does exactly that, so it can't be all bad ;)

All right, I'll except that description of "pocket", but it leads me to ask, if that is what it has always meant, why have people just begun to pick up on it now?
