    Blade
    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Brush: Jayaruh #60 synthetic
    Lather: TSD Barber Shoppe
Post: Witch hazel splash, TSD Iced Barber Shoppe aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

First shave with a Schick I1. Great result! I found the razor smooth and comfortable. It reminded me a lot of the G1 but seemed more substantial, perhaps due to the bigger handle. I really enjoyed this shave. Great lather from TSD Barber Shoppe and nice skin care from the after shave. A great way to begin the morning.

    Have a great day!

Well a modern Personna went in the PAL Adjustable this morning and it DID impress. I think closer than the Plus Platinum on the head shave though I wouldn't swear to it as the Plus Platinum had quite a few shaves on it.

This was another DIY brushless gel shave that further convinces that a lot of folks have a fetish about lather that has little to do with performance - - in terms of comfort, closeness, and after shave feel. I mean I love the ritual, and playing with peaks is fun and all.. But overrated IMHO[IMG].

Don't you just love a day when all the pieces fall into place? This afternoon's shave was just one of those perfect pieces.

Hope you all have a great evening, and a laid back Friday to head into the weekend.

Yesterday I pulled out my E2 and decided to compare it to the PAL Injectomatic that I just finished with. First I thought I'd examine the blade gap. Hmm, similar....but what's that with the E2? I looked closer and could see that the blade in the E2 was sitting on top of one blade stop. Since I needed a new blade anyway I put in the key and slid in a new blade. Wow, it's still on top of one blade stop! Maybe that always happens and I never noticed? I tried a third blade and was careful and, sure enough, same problem. THAT would explain why I thought the E2 was the devil's own razor it was so nastily aggressive. With a little coaxing the blade dropped into place. The resulting shave now makes me understand why you guys like the E2. I would define it as VERY efficient. That's my description for a razor that is aggressive, but comfortable. I was close to selling this thing, but no more. Again, not dolphin skin smooth, but I don't know that any lady dolphins could tell the difference!

I have the very same razor, and I've never had that problem. And IMO the Schick E2 beats the Pal Injectomatic, but not the Pal Adjustable.
The Pal Adjustable (on H) gives me the cleanest shave of any injector razor, except for the Bunny. The Bunny is king.

Wonderful shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Excellent lather from the KMF shave cream. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day guys. :happy005:

A first for me- PAL Adjustable & Personna Blade.
To load had to transfer a blade to a Schick Dispenser to load up easily. Shave not as smooth as with Schicks
used , nor as close. Have been told subsequent shaves may be better, will give it a go.
