I upsets me to hear, "I ain't got no taters." :angry032: It's "I ain't got any taters!"...and it bakes me unhappy anytime we're out of taters. :eatdrink020:

There's another word that gets me...."axe murderer". You'd think it refers to the killing of axes, but I guess it refers to killing ANYTHING.

right-"ain't got no" does look like "I got some".

Which reminds me of another peeve a la' Richard Rawlings ("Fast 'n' Loud")... "Git me/ya some." Makes me want to yell at the TV.

The first time I heard a phrase like that was in Juice Newton's hit "Queen of Hearts" where she sings "But when they're handin out the heartaches you know you got to have you some".

Yes, but playing with the queen of hearts...? I mean, you know that isn't really smart. :p

You're right, isn't it "ax" murderer? He will ax for permission to kill you.

no, I was right...but, now that we have THAT straight....what is the origin of ax(e)murderer? ( Both ax and axe are chopping tools).

Git outta here! In fact, you should git while the gittin' is good. Git yourself a coke (applies to any soft drink one has on hand) on the way out. :p
