I upsets me to hear, "I ain't got no taters." It's "I ain't got any taters!"...and it bakes me unhappy anytime we're out of taters.
There's another word that gets me...."axe murderer". You'd think it refers to the killing of axes, but I guess it refers to killing ANYTHING.
Which reminds me of another peeve a la' Richard Rawlings ("Fast 'n' Loud")... "Git me/ya some." Makes me want to yell at the TV.
The first time I heard a phrase like that was in Juice Newton's hit "Queen of Hearts" where she sings "But when they're handin out the heartaches you know you got to have you some".
