Is that an effect or did you stage it? Great picture!

Thanks Jim! It's both. The razor, brush, and cream including the back round are staged, the glass, strawberries, and berries are an effect. :)

Sorry to hear about that. The blade stops on this model (it is a VC1, btw) are extremely fragile and unfortunately broken blade stops are all too common. The razor is not safe to use with a broken stop, as you discovered.

You were using a vintage blade as well and these tend to pull and tug and be generally unpleasant unless they are thoroughly stropped before each use.

If you are still interested in the Auto-Strops after this they are not difficult to find at reasonable prices.

On this day, with this blade, trophy goes to the I2. Whatever edge the G might have in efficiency, if any, for me the I makes up in smoothness. Thoroughly enjoyable shave.

    Blade Schick "Chick"
    Brush Whipped Dog Silvertip
    Soap Maggard London Barbershop

A two-day growth shave with the extremely efficient E2. No blade problems today and it mowed down the hair easily. I went from hating this to loving it. I planned on 3 passes, but two was BBS smooth. I'm amazed.

Anyone have experience with Personna injector blades from the 90s? I bought a carton of blades off the bay, but it seems like the blades are noticeably less sharp than the current Personnas. Kinda bummed:(

Awesome shave with the PAL tonight. It is still a tossup for me whether this is my best shaving injector or the E2. The E2 for sure has more blade feel, and I kind of like that. The PAL feels almost like it isn't getting anything done, but leaves you with a shave that won't let you quit feeling your face. Just an amazing razor!

I have a new razor coming to me from London. I'll probably have it by Friday. I've never used one of these before, though I know all of it's cousins quite well.
I'm pretty sure that if I find it too mild for my liking, I can get my money back for it or better in trade or resale.

Yeah, no kidding. Injector and SE's really put the fun back into the razor aspect of wet shaving for me.

    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Brush: Artisan badger
    Lather: Soap Commander Fortitude
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Nice shave earlier today. Soap Commander is really great soap. The post-shave feel for me is terrific. The scent reminds me of my grandfather's hay barn from my early childhood. Great products and nice shave.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
