I think it's because they require a different 'dynamic'...The angle for me at first was counter intuitive....
But as I learned...literally because this razor took the time to teach me...This razor is perfect...if you use that flat against the face angle it wants you to use, it's perfect! It's not a hoe, and it refuses to be treated as one!:lyrtuy5:

And the boxy body is actually very easy to use and manuever...as long as we don't try to think of it as another razor...This repeater is it's own entity with it's own aesthetic...So the more intune we get with it, the more perfect we realize it is! I'm blown away with how heavy this razor is on so many levels...not to mention you could put nearly 6 months worth of blades in it and put the cap on it, drop it in your pocket and hit the road! Unbelievable...and an amazing shaver...I think Octavius Victor Rodrigues perfected the repeater type razor for Schick with the C types...
After that he invented the injector razor with the D type...the repeater type was already perfect.

I googled patent drawings for OV Rodrigues and have come to an interesting realization. OV had submitted drawings for the C type repeater, the C3 safety bar head, the D type injector, and the E type injector all around the same time.

It appears he probably thought the repeaters and the D and E types would all be marketed at the sametime...Different razor choices for different uses. Because of how Schick released them, it appears to be chronologically how the Schick razors were developed with improvements being added...But NO! Victor designed the all at the sametime! He considered them all as complete designes...Just different style razors for different men's taste and lifestyles...

He did consider the C3 smooth safety bar an improvement...that was the most modern patent of all these drawings.

Octavius Rodrigues for President.....man....what a visionary!! Imagine walking into a drugstore in the early '30's and seeing the C3 repeater, the D type and E type on the shelf all next to each other...not to mention the GEM OCMM right next to them....actually....it would have looked a little like alot of our medicine cabinets :happy097:
But in the early 30's....those cats sure had shaving choices...course with the depression...most didn't have the bread to cop!:sad024: No wonder robbing banks became so popular... But your honor....I needed to stockpile a few thousand repeater blades before they quit making them..:sad038:

    Donald,
You can use a fresh blade with it, no problems at all. Just use the weight of it and exert no pressure during the shave.

Wonderful shave with the PAL adjustable injector razor this morning. Excellent slick, cushiony, and cool lather from the Palmolive Cool Menthol shave cream. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth and refreshing finish. Have a great day guys. :)

Well tonight I went for the gold with my Eversharp-Schick Hydro-magic....I tried to recreate the superb Guiness Book close shave I got the other night with my Schick Simplified Automatic!

Well the results are in! My wife says, every bit as close, maybe closer! It's in a Schick's genes I believe...lol!
No, both these razors are extraordinary examples of the breed...A good Schick injector...one that loves shaving as much as you do is a joy to behold...:happy108:

Enter, "HYDROZILLA" Whiskers tremble in fear at the mere mention of the name!

Here is my hydro-magic baby, along with my signature cologne, an arko stick put in a travel dispenser, and a shaving cup my wife gave me, with my Pop's picture on it...
It's fitting since he taught me to shave, he also ran a tight Schick household, and gave me my first injector, one just like this hydro-magic...

Thanks, Doug! The Artique is a great AS. It is cold, but in a different way, as the cold just seems to build over a few minutes. It leaves you skin feeling soft and smooth, and the minty scent is different than any of my of AS.

    Have a great day!

    Blade
    : Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Brush: JR boar
    Lather: Proraso Green
Post: Witch hazel splash, Aqua Velva, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

The Schick I1 worked great again this morning. This was a nice and easy menthol Monday shave! Great lather and comfortable reduction with the razor. Nice way to start the work week.

    Have a great day!

Truly unbeatable combination. Not as easy smooth as yesterday's Hydromagicigal I2 shave but whoa Nelly so close (As always the head shave exposes the differences better than the beard). That blade be wicked. One application of the shave oil was enough to reach Dolphin Town.
