I Am Thinking of Getting a Naniwa Chosera 1 k Stone..Or the New Equivalent which is the Naniwa Professional 1 K Stone..I Don't Like the Feel of the Naniwa 1 K Super Stone for Setting Bevels..Its Soft & I Just Don't Like the Feel of it for Bevel Work..Not Suggesting its Not a Good Stone as it Does the Job Fine..I Love the Naniwa Super Stone Progression..Its Dynamite for Me.. Billy..
You should try the chapton pro's.think they are a dream to hone on the bevelsetter is the 1,5k.it has almost the same particle size as the 1k chosera. the 1k shapton is the same as the chosera 800. http://www.ebay.ie/usr/330mate_com here is a link to a japanese Ebay seller thet has both brands to a good price bought mine there
That Sellers Prices are Good..I Can Get the 1 K Naniwa Chosera/Professional Equivalent in a UK Sellers Sale for the Same Price as the Shapton .. Billy..
The second Shave with the "Орбита"(Orbit) went great. This is, in my opinion, superb steel. Its not the prettiest razor, but oh, does the shave make up for it.
I went back to my 1961 Paketa today in anticipation of my 1956 Moscow arriving this afternoon. Da Comrades, it is the True Path. Smooth, sharp, efficient....
I've only two Russian Razors, so far. A 1953, and an early 70's. Both are excellent shaving razors, that tame a wickedly sharp edge. I'm using these two, exclusively, for the entire month of November, just to get use to them, and to see how their edges hold up. So far so good. I just have to use a much lighter touch. These razors take off much more than they seem to, be it audible feedback or feel.
Comrades, the Motherland sends her best to her Proud Sons. Glorious Moscow 1956 has arrived. Already has joined Comrade in Arms Paketa for show of Solidarity in the Den. Da Comrades, the Fruits of Labor Glorify the Motherland. Her True Sons are Clean Shaven and Proud.
I am still waiting on my Russian. It has been a long 3 weeks so far. This sucks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The word I got is that shipments are sometimes held up by the Ukrainian PO until they have enough parcels to make the flight more worthwhile. There was a significant difference in how long it took for my first razor to arrive and how long it took for this one. So, you just need to convince more Californians to buy some Russian razors to help fill the cargo hold.
Da Comrades, Embrace the Motherland and she will Embrace You. I originally ordered the 1956 Moscow on October 19th and got it today. So, 19 days total. @Redfisher - waiting for a good Russkie always seems longer than it is - it'll be two weeks and a day for you tomorrow.
