I am a newbie to DE shaving and bought a 24C on Leisureguy (Michael Ham's) advice. It is more comfortable and efficient than my Edwin Jagger (which I still love) especially in tackling a few days growth).I am thinking of a Fatip Open as a big Italianophile but I hear it is pretty fierce(?) maybe wait until I have more experience.

Sometimes everything comes together for a pure BBS. Today was one of these shaves. Timeless Razor OC is amazing and with my favorite blade Gillette Silver Blue things just work out. The brush with the 2 band knot is amazing. Route 66 Ghost Town is outstanding soap. .

As usual the weekend was to short but at least a good shave is a nice way to start a Monday morning. The CH2 synthetic whipped up the Mystic Water into a rich slick lather. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended in my normal near BBS. The performance of the blade is starting to drop off causing me to work harder for the same results. I finished up the shave with a splash of Floid Blue. I hope everyone has a great Monday.

Another great shave this morning. With 17 shaves on the blade, about the best I can achieve is a DFS. But that is not bad for a work morning. I finished up the Mystic Water Eucalyptus & Spearmint soap today. I enjoyed the soap and look forward to trying some of the new formula in the future. Finished off the shave with a splash of F&C Capri. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.

 

Clint are you going to continue to push the blade farther ?

 

Yes Andrew I am going to push the blade until it drops. It is almost impossible to get a BBS with the blade at this point but I am still getting solid DFS to near BBS shaves at this point.

The Personna 74 just keeps going with another very good shave this morning. Three passes and minimal touch ups ended with a smooth comfortable shave. As usual the Route 66 was easy to whip into a rich slick lather. Finished up the the shave with a splash of Fine L'Orange Noir. I hope everyone has a great Wednesday.

 

Good morning amigo. Eighteen shaves with one blade. That is amazing. I've never tried to see how long a blade would last. For me it's seven and out. I guess that will be my next project, unless another Tres Amigo, well you know. Have a great day! Excellent setup and picture Clint.
