HAHA sounds good to me. Nothing can quite describe the smell of wet goat. It is an acquired scent for sure. Right up there with skunks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I never have had the nerves to try Arko or the Veg. I am a cowardor just plain smart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Won't know until you do try em. I don't mind the strong scent of Arko, especially since it provides a great lather easily. It's also one of the lowest priced soaps around. If you don't like the scent it can be used to defunk new brush knots. Or grate it, allow to descent, and add essential oils for different flavor. The Veg is two step ratification; Doesn't matter weather you like it or not, SWMBO needs approve. If you should purchase a small bottle and get veto at either first or second checkpoint there are others that would take it off your hands. You might unload it on a soap pass around.
Shave 5 with the bunny... I left the mild comb on the bunny this morning, whipped up some Stirling bay rum with my old VDH boar brush and topped it off with some Aqua Velva musk. It was another great shave. Understandably, I can't quite achieve a BBS with the mild comb. However, it is definitely a very fine DFS! I was spot on with the angle this morning and going around my nose was no more work than any other razor. No nicks at all! It was a smooth and comfortable shave all around! I'm switching back to the notso comb, or maybe the wild comb for tomorrow's shave. I already know that the notso will get me a BBS, but I have to see what the wild comb will do. My wife tried the bunny out last night. I had to plead a bit, but she used it and liked it. She had no problem with finding the angle and she said it was quite maneuverable. Overall, she was impressed with the razor and said she would use it again if she had the opportunity. I'll do two more shaves before getting it out to Herm. I'm enjoying this razor so much that really don't want to part with it!
My wife uses DEs, she uses vintage Trac II cart handles, but will not use an injector. I even bought a super minty K type, all blue and speckled and girly. She wont touch it. I don't know why.
Awesome news on the shave and your wife trying it out and liking it. I'd like to suggest you try one of your remaining shaves with using a combo of the combs. Either the Wild or Notso for the first pass or two and then drop down to the Mild for the final pass. YMMV of course.
Great Soap..Not for Shaving Mind..I Clean My Toilet with MR ARKO & Look at the Result..My Bath & Sink Look the Exact Same..Whiter than White & as White as MR ARKO Himself.. Billy..
I am going to my nieces engagement party this afternoon. I wanted a quick shave. I took my Bunny V2 with the wild comb. Went ATG to give myself a DFS. After really not using it for several months. I picked it up and instantly found the angle. I really like this razor Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Shave 6... I can't believe that it's now six shaves with the bunny! Today's shave, like the previous five, did not disappoint! I tried the wild comb this morning and all I can say is "wow"! This was the closest shave I've gotten with this razor. I did two passes and I'm BBS! It was a smooth shave all around and there's no irritation. I did get two nicks, but that comes with the territory when amping up a razor. I really like this razor and it would make a great daily driver, but it's time to get it to @Herm2502 . I'll do my final shave with it tomorrow.
Shave 7.... Today was my last and final shave with the bunny. I was running late for work and didn't have time to savor this last shave. I had the wild combo in it, made two passes and got another BBS shave all around! You can't go wrong with this razor! Great engineering, great shaves, good looks...I want one! Thank you @twhite for building this baby and making it available to all of us. You're a generous man. Hey @Karl G , thanks for encouraging me to get on the list. I'm happy for the opportunity to use the bunny. All good things must come to an end, so the bunny will be off to @Herm2502 today for him to enjoy. Hey Herm, be sure to wipe the turkey and stuffings from your face before you use it! Oh, and don't break it!
Okay, okay, I'll be careful-er this time. But is this a case of "if you break it, you bought it"? Makes me think... HERM
