Me too. I have a bunch of home improvements to do right now. I will only be able to work on this intermittently for a while. I need to figure out how I am going to grind the slight hollow next. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I actually need a larger roller. The radius of the partial hollow on my near. Wedge design is 7-1/2 radius. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I hope so. I am working on an idea to mount a 24" belt on a wheel. Kind of like a regular grinding wheel. I have a hone made disc sander that I will modify to take the new style wheel. I am actually making a rest to mount to it. It will control how much the blade can move. I will post pictures once i get it all noodled out. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have made a wheel and blade rest. I need to find a motor. I went to garage sales today looking for a motor. As I am a cheap bastardI will be looking for one on the cheap. I also made 2 more blade blanks just like the first one. The wheel will accept a 24" belt. It is a nice snug fit. I hope it works out ok. The wheel diameter is 7.64. It should work out ok for the near wedge grind I plan on using. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have made some razors. I would love to keep up with your progress! Good luck! Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
If you have a chance of making any short videos of your progress and methods employed, that would be awesome. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using Tapatalk
Welcome to The Shave Den, @elyknives . Please go to "The Welcome Center" area and introduce yourself. We would all like to hear about your razor making skills and your history.
I'm confused as to how the entire blade can be hollow ground, with the blade mount you made? Are you having any troubles with it?
