    Thank you Jared. My wife actually told me that I smell good today! :) The C&S Cuba is amazing. I was lucky and scored a bottle for $45 on Ebay. I cannot imagine paying upwards of $100 for it!! It compliments the I Coloniali perfectly.

    The TSD Killer Queen Shaving Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #133 silvertip badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Black Beauty with a Wilkinson Sword Super Sword-Edge blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Aqua Velva Musk After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Hey guys!

    I had a very, very enjoyable shave this morning with the excellent Hungarian menthol cream named Derbylux. I received three brand-new tubes of this stuff and I'm not parting with them because this brand was discontinued. The scent is classy and beautiful, the lather is a pleasure to work up, and the cooling effect is really good. It's also a very skin-friendly cream. The Lucky Tiger a/s balm always adds to the moisturizing and cooling so you're guaranteed lots of comfort. The Black Powder a/s splash gets me lots of compliments on its scent, and it's not far from being a face-freezer! :happy088: :happy088:

    Now, on to Wednesday morning:

    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Derby day 3
    Top Ten Menthol S/C :love055: :love055: :love055::love055: :love055: :smiley freezing: :smiley freezing:
    Lubriderm Unscented Moisturizer :love055: :love055::love055: :love055: :love055:
    Italian Barber Amici A/S Splash :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :smiley freezing::smiley freezing:

    Top Ten Menthol is a great Bulgarian cream which I haven't used in a LONG time. I love the scent, it lathers wonderfully, and although the cooling sensation is mild, it's still there. The Amici's scent is magnificent and it also gives a decent menthol feeling. ;) :D

    Nothing beats a Hussy. Well, maybe a Bunny but I haven't put them head to head. Seriously, when I first got one of these nobody knew anything about them and I thought it would be a dud. I was stunned. Eventually I put it head to head against a PAL Injecto-Matic and it edged it out. Definitely one of the closest shaves you can get with any razor. :happy036:

    NOVember!!

    November 22

    Grand Blade Trial - NOVember shave

    Razor - CJB Greager
    Blade - [IMG] (1)
    Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat
    Brush - Wolf Whiskers Custom Silvertip
    Post - Alum

    Time for another four days of NOVember. Well, ok, so I varied these days but, overall, tried to stay with a straight theme. Today I return to the scene of last week's near massacre at the hands of the Feather SS, only this time I'm wielding its Korean cousin, the CJB Greager. I'm using a Dorco AC blade again since last week's shave failed miserably, and the other major difference.......I'm wearing a T-shirt as well as having an extra cloth nearby to keep hands dry. I'm getting certain looks from SWMBO for having this razor out and ready to use and I have wondered if she would grab it and finish me before I even had a chance!

    Started with a head shave with the Merkur 23c/Astra/VDH Deluxe soap and it was great as always. Whipped up an amazing Fat lather and it was as slick as last week. Started on the right side and had no issues with the first pass on that side. Went for the handoff to my left hand and made sure my hand was dry and free of lather. Also, the square handle seems to give a bit of extra grip. That pass was perfect as well. No issues, no falling razors, nothing being sliced.

    Two more passes with the Greager landed me a fine DFS. A few areas wouldn't go more due to my lack of perfect technique but I"ll take it. It's been awhile since I've used a pain stick for a full shave and I'm more than happy with it.

    Short day at work tomorrow as we are closing a bit early. Today was a busy and expensive day with a lawyer visit, shopping, all the fun things that make life what it is. We will be home for the holiday on Thursday except for when we find an open Chinese restaurant to eat at. Kind of our tradition for Thanksgiving and Yule. Hope all is well where you are and for those of you getting snow - I can't say I'm jealous. Have a great night and a better tomorrow!

    Yesterday's shave.

    Prep: hot shower, Neutrogena Face Wash.
    Brush: none.
    Razor: Schick Krona.
    Blade: SuperMax Titanium.
    Cream: Barbasol Original.
    Post: Aqua Velva Ice Blue.

    I only shave my neck because I've had a beard for over six months; since my enlistment ended in April. Two passes got me DFS in about 10 minutes total. My Schick Krona is my favorite razor. It does the best job of any DE that I have. Usually, I use Somerset Shaving Oil to shave with; but for the past few shaves I've been experimenting with Barbasol. It's not half bad for me either. It doesn't get as close as shaving oil, but it makes my neck look cleaned up. The best part is that I didn't get any nicks, cuts, or irritation.

    I'm always impressed by your photos and by your collection. Your den photos are eye candy and it's interesting to see what you choose out of that huge collection.

    Beautiful razor. I'm really curious about that soap's scent. Lately I've taken a liking to Middle Eastern and south Asian themed scents.

    Magnificent shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Excellent, bountiful lather from the Arko shave stick. It face lathers wonderfully. Three refreshing passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends. :)
