Great, another Williams man. I can never build a thick lather, but even with somewhat thinner lather, I still manage good, smooth shave.

My shaves with a straight get better each time. I'm really surprising myself. Some strokes, like on the cheeks and sides of the neck are effortless and satisfying, while others near the mid neck, and the chin area, take me a while to accomplish due to the lack of flatness in those areas

    Razor: Schick G1 injector
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Lather: Fine American Blend
Post: Witch hazel splash, Fine American Blend aftershave, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, XTG

Nice shave this afternoon. I had two days of growth but the G1 didn't feel as efficient today. Perhaps the blade needs changing. I am out of town and the water here is very hard and drying. My face feels really dry. I've used a good bit of Nivea balm and may need to get some lotion to amp it up. This is normal here (I'm at my in-laws) and I just have to go with the flow until I get back home to the water I'm used to.

I included a lather shot just for @JR Reyes!

A little bit of irritation on my lower right neck which is annoying. But, otherwise a nice shave in two passes. Shave well, and have a great day!

Thanks, CJ! I love my G1, that's for sure, and the American Blend soap has been a terrific surprise. I've always enjoyed the aftershave but the soap is excellent too.

I don't get a real thick lather either Bill, but it sure is slick enough to get the job done and I'm kinda fond of Williams Mug soap.:)

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20161123_170430.jpg

    Prep: Taconic Bay Rum Metholated
    Razor: Maggard Slant
    Blade: Pol-Silver
    Brush: Maggard 26mm synthetic
Soap: Soap Smooth Frankincense & myrrh
Post: Soap Smooth Frankincense & myrrh aftershave/ Osage Rub

Since it is almost Thanksgiving and I don't have and SC Thanksliving, this will be a Franksgiving shave with Frankincense & myrrh. The wife can't stand this scent, but it is my favorite F&M scent, woodsy and resinous. This scent paired well with the menthol from the pre shave and the Osage Rub. Made a thick lather and was enough for 3 passes. Got a few nicks and weepers but a smooth shave nonetheless. Hope everyone has a great turkey day!

    Gillette Tech/Clix Hybrid Razor
    Personna Lab Blue
    FS Boar Brush
    Barrister & Mann Cheshire Soap
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Lucky Tiger Aspen After Shave

Went for a late shave today cause I guess I was a bit lazy earlier. Decided to try the Gillette/Clix hybrid with a Lab Blue. While shaving, I honestly did not feel the blade at all, not even any noise. Eventually I thought it was because, even though it's base plate is from a Gillette Tech, the top cap, which does cover the sides is also from a Clix, from pictures I have seen. Maybe the combination produces an even milder shave than a Gillette Tech. It really didn't matter because it still produced a nice DFS, even while rushing through the shave. The soap, thanks to @SHAVEWIZARD420, while taking a bit longer to lather, had a very nice scent to it. It's described as an Earl Grey tea scent, and I agree. It was a longer lasting scent, and even after applying the after shave, they combined together to produce a different but enjoyable scent.
