November 23, 2016 Wolfman WR-01 Ti OC with Hempel Ti Feather “Los Tres Amigos Dos” CH 2 Synthetic LERoute 66 Rum Runner Witch Hazel A great shave this morning. The CH2 Synthetic whipped the Rum Runner into a rich slick lather. The scent of the soap reminds me of a rum cocktail. I just went with normal 3 pass routine, WTG, XTG and ATG, paying attention to my trouble spots as I went. I was so close to a BBS and having the time, I decided to run the baby down. A few touch ups later, particularly on my neck and I ended with a BBS. Overall a very smooth and irritation free shave. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.
November 23 SOTD: Stirling Synthetic Brush Erasmic Shave Stick Gillette Rocket Stirling Unscented PSB Clubman AS No picture today, as I was running a bit late and didn't get a picture last night. It was a very smooth shaver this morning, and I think this razor is a keeper. I am the lone EE at the refinery today, so it is quiet and slow. Hopefully it stays that way. I hope everyone has a great day and stays safe of traveling.
November 23, 2016- "No Expectations" Focus Razor: G3 Aristocrat Adjustable (3) Blade: Astra SP (2) Brush: VdH Boar Soap: Mineral Fusion/Dove Hydrating Cream After Monday's incident and it's aftermath, I decided to skip shaving yesterday and let things heal. For today's shave, I dialed the Slim down to a mild setting of '3' which is in keeping with the original aims of this focus. The addition of the Dove made for a Superlather which was probably not necessary, but was nice. All in all, a completely uneventful shave. The obsessive part of me things that there are areas which could definitely be closer, but I'll call it a DFS- overall and be happy with it.
Razor: Gillette President Y 1 Blade: Feather Platinum (3) Brush: Shavemac Zebra, Honeycomb 2 Band Badger Soap: Route 66 Frozen Margarita Aftershave: Myrsol Blue A very fine shave today. Kind of busy. L8r.
Yesterday's shave. Great little Genco razor. Easy to use and very nimble. Still trying to use up this soap, think I have 3-4 more shaves left in it. Got a few slices on my face from too much pressure. I think I need to touch it up to get it back up to smooth shaves again.
First things first, I want to thank each and everyone of you who offered your condolences and well wishes in this pretty sad time for me and my family. It truly means the world to me and without trying to sound too sappy (I know coming from the man who rocks a blue dress like no one's business sappy is the "norm") I really appreciate the thoughts and everything from all of you who in my eyes have come to be like family. *AHEM* Ok....enough of the sentimental hoo blah!! I am a beautiful manly man! Todays SOTD: Mongoose B3/ Feather Super Pro Stirling 24mm Finest 2 Band Brush The Fat Thayers Lavender The Veg Great shave today. The Goose and Fat are a perfect marriage and paired together always give me a stellar shave. BBS in 3 passes with no nicks or irritation what so ever. Finished with The Veg and hauled my butt off to work. Felt great to be back in the kitchen and working my tail off. The time off was needed and fun but I was going stir crazy sitting around doing nothing. Happy Turkey day everyone!!!!
NOVember!! November 23 Grand Blade Trial - Thanksgiving Eve Razor - Nope, not touching it tonight. Blade - Not using one of these either. Soap - No razor or blade, means no soap. Brush - No soap means no brush. Post - No razor, blade, soap or brush - means nothing to do after nothing. It's the night before Thanksgiving and all through the "Lou"... The carjackers had stolen not one, but a slew. The North Side was quiet except for the sounds..... Of a hundred or so of 9 mm rounds. I went to the den a shave to complete and even decided to turn up the heat. And yet when I got there I realized a fact..... We're closed tomorrow so no need to act. I put down the Greager and turned out the light And settled back in for no shave tonight. I wish you all happiness and thanks for your time...... I think we've all had enough of this rhyme. Have a great night everyone!
Hey! You promised not to announce the engagement yet! I agree about one thing for sure.....this place is a family, whether it's sappy or not!
