I had a great shave tonight. Thanks to @PickledNorthern for posting that YouTube video on how to lather. Because of him my soaps are coming to life. It's rediculous how different my lathers are now. This soap was by far my worst soap, I don't care for the scent and it was dry... but now!!! Hot damn!!! It's one of the slickest soaps I have! I still don't care for the scent but the performance is unreal! My shave went fantastic! I'm still trying to get a close shave with this razor but I'm diggin it!

Starting to fall in love with this razor I'm borrowing. I'm gonna have to get the Mergress though, I don't care for the aesthetics of the plastic knob.

Also my first use with the Orange and Cedarwood soap, loved it, very happy with my acquisition.

After using the small nimble Wolfman OC for the entire month of November, the B2 Mongoose was a real wake up call. In comparison the Mongoose felt much heavier and is certainly larger. Midway through the first pass the differences were forgotten. I went with a 2 pass, XTG & ATG, shave followed my touch ups and ended the with a near BBS shave. The RV7 whipped up the Rossa into a rich lather. The soft massage of the brush and the wonderful scent of the Rossa added to the overall experience. Overall a fantastic shave this morning and a great way to kick off December. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

Superb shave with Reef Point today. The Colonel is a bit of a lather hog - I have to load it much more than my synthetic brushes. It got the job done very well, though. It has more backbone than the Futur brush, but is not as soft.

Although the Frostbite soap from Krampert's is nowhere nearly as potent as a Glacial it's still damned cold and does it ever lather like a maniac. The matching aftershave is a bona-fide face-freezer with perfect skincare. BBS so easily today! :happy088: :happy088:

The British Sterling was an after Christmas buy from 2 or 3 years ago that I never opened. Very nice old-school scent.........

    Blade
    : GEM Stainless
    Razor: GEM Featherweight
    Brush: Trader Joe's synthetic
    Lather: Soap Commander Passion
Post: Witch hazel splash, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

Pretty smooth result in the end but not a comfortable shave this morning. The GEM blade wasn't on its game. I'll change the blade if I use that GEM razor again tomorrow. It should feel really smooth and effortless with the GEM combo, but did not. At least the Soap Commander performed really well again. Great stuff!

    Have a great day!

Today's shave was excellent. The huge brush made wonderful lather. Three passes with Dad's SA, longrr handle throws me a bit, but i got a great shave anyway. Finished with the MC Spice, it matched nicely.
Hope y'all did as well, or better. 20161201_083613_resized.jpg 20161201_082405_resized.jpg
After writing, I noticed that I understated the shave. I regularly get very good shaves, today's is exceptionally good.
