First shave with the Rapira Platinum Lux blade. It has a slightly different face feel than the Swedish Supersteel, but yielded nice results.

 

Y'know, I was surprised to see that so many people who bought Clubman Vanilla off Amazon gave it 5 stars.

Set the Parker at 2.5 today and got a right dandy shave. It felt very mild but not quite as effective as when set at 3. So, for me and the Astra, it appears that 3 is the magical setting. Will change blades tomorrow and see if the sweet spot stays at 3 or what. So, the end result was great and I'm ready to go. Now go enjoy your day folks

 

SOTD: Vintage Tanifuji Favorit 750 6/8," Soap Commander 'Courage' soap and matching aftershave (grabbed the wrong SC bottle for this shot!), Omega silvertip. Superb lather and über-smooth shave.

and now, just like that, I read the words "soft and exfoliating" in its description. THAT is encouraging!

 

This is the softest badger brush I own. Most of the others have a pretty good amount of scrub and scritch.

Almost finished with the MW. I love seeing the bottom of a tub; it's so seldom. Replacement chances...0%.

 

I like the Vanilla version quite a bit. Depending on the mood, I sometimes prefer it over the original.

With the Gillette Twinjector and flex head injector, I managed a BBS. Two passes 1st, WTG smooth and clean, the 2nd, ATG/XTG still smooth and clean. Had to go slow due to some aggressive cuts and nicks. Everything went well. My face feels much better. I will use the same set up a couple more times to ensure healing is complete. I must stay away from those aggressive tools. I just don`t have the nerves for them. Hope all is well with everyone else. P.S. Old dogs and new tricks don`t mix well.
