Advice for the day: you've gotta rock it like your back ain't got no bone.:git: If you've been rocking it throughly and completely and your back still has a bone, then you've obviously been doing something wrong...

    My day sucked.
I got a call from a family friend. I had to pick up his 5 year old and a 10 year old girls, from their house. The 10 yr old called the father, who was 4 hrs away, and told him mom was passed out drunk, on the couch all day. The girls couldn't have been happier to go with me and my daughter. But all the girls got fed and played together, the rest of the day.

It's dark (0619), wet, and cold. It's Saturday, and I'm pulling 12 hours OT. But I had me a Whataburger breakfast on a bun & some OJ, and I'm off tomorrow. One day to get to sleep in.

Edit: It's dark (1747), wet, and cold. Still Saturday, 7 minutes 'til my shift's over. Gonna grab a Whataburger on the way home, then find another blanket to put on my bed.

That is sad, but I commend you on being a good friend and taking care of those girls, when they needed you.

You're a good Dad. Children are resilient if given a chance to be ok. Glad you were there for them.

Today has been busy & enjoyable. The hubby & I went out for breakfast, Later in the day, we went to the range & did some shooting. After that, we put numbers on each shooting lane (on the wall above the target bale and on the floor). Now I'm making aa batch of holiday candles in a variety of scents. First was one that smells kind of like cinnamon donuts; I call it either "Festival of Lights" or "Holiday Spice' depending on the intended recipient. Now I am working on Blue Spruce. Bayberry comes after that.

Ah, my one day off...slept in 'til like 0654, and had mah coffee. HEB's by 0745 for grocery shopping, then back home for another cup. Still cold & wet, so I did laundry and made a breakfast taco. Watched goofy videos & stalked the 'bay for another razor I don't really need. French toast for lunch. I'd take a nap, but it'd screw up my sleep for tonight. So, I reckon I'll watch some more goofy videos.

Alright..I give you a brand new adjective..canuckish..no Mr spell check, you haven't got this one listed..yet. Now canuckish refers to anything that is immediately displaying Canadian like attributes or has intrinsically, Canadian like qualities. The state of Vermont and hockey for example can be said have canuckishness. And good old TSD. Even quite possibly Richgem..but that's another story. There's probably a myriad of canuckishness out there..not a bad thing..how much..well time will tell I suppose...

Well I have learned that my real world Canadian friend is most un-canuckish in that he doesn't get hockey. I believe that in Canada that is grounds for extradition or is it deportation?
