    Hi guys, here's today's shave:

    rdt0604.jpg

    - Tabac Original Rasierseife
    - Thäter 26mm 2-band silvertip
    - The Single Edge
    - Personna/Ted Pella blade
    - Alverde ASB

I'm still not sure whether or not the Single Edge and I will become friends  It is a beautiful razor, but seems to cause more irritation than other Injectors. Second pass ATG left a few tiny blood spots on my cheeks today. I have to admit though: AFTER the shave I realized that I had used the most aggressive baseplate. I'll give it another try with the mild one next time.

I like the Personna in the G and high letter Schicks. For me they amp them up a bit. I've never been able to get a shave I enjoy with a Schick in the G. Blades really are personal and it's fun to experiment with the different NOS blades as well to see how the characteristic of the shave with a particular razor change. Despite their cost, I could never shave with an I, a Schick Adjustable, or a Personna Floating head again if it wasn't loaded with a twin. They transform their shaves completely. :happy036:

Definitely not much used but in storage the handles on these guys don't seem to hold up as well as the heads which stay pretty minty.

Often there is a lot of plate wear on the sides of the 1914s right next to where it says, "Lift Here." Certain models also have blade stops that wear down. The head on yours looks great. :happy088:

I got a matched pair in a khaki set. The heads on both pretty much pristine though one was crushed a bit and needed to be bent back into position. But I have no idea if/how the handles can be improved, tried the usual scrubbing bubbles, Dawn, toothpaste, Flix.. Still look like crap paired with those shiny heads. Maybe need to invest in a mini replate machine. Same problem with the Autostrop handles.

Those Handles are Cast Iron..They Rust Easily..You will Perhaps Get Away with Using a Copper Brush to Scrub them Down as there is No Plating to Loose..A Bit of Oil will Prevent them from Further Rust..That Said..Once they are Marked/Tainted with Rust its Hard to Remove it..:)

I had no idea they were cast iron. Very helpful Billy, thanks.

Wow! A very fine wat up mang to you bro. No SE shaves to report though; it has been the R41 (V1) for me and nothing else for years.

Tonight I decided to break out my Bunny. It has been a few months since I have used her.

Picking her up was a wonderful feeling. Once lathered, I took to shaving with a brand new Chick & Wild comb. I have forgotten how smooth this thing is. I could hear it loud and clear. It felt like it was not even cutting.

I finished pass 1 WTG, and rinsed my face. Sure enough it was cutting just fine. Excellent reduction. Pass 2 XTG went just as smooth. This pass was DFS. I had to go for the score. My Bunny did not disappoint. I am BBS everywhere.

I did my normal Alum block rubdown. No noise at all. Finished with some pretty darned good AS.

I am now ready to take my wife out to dinner for her Birthday.

First shave with the Injectomatic was sure a fun one. I like the shape of the handle, and it shaves like a G but feels like a J. It is easy to see how Roby is hooked so deep on his. It is a heck of a razor.

    Merry Christmas!

Excellent shave with the PAL Injecto-Matic this morning. Wonderful, creamy, protective lather from the Arko Extra Performance shave cream. Highly recommended. Three easy passes for a dolphin smooth finish. Have a great day friends. :)

Hey....I hear ya! Seems quite a few cats got smitten and hat R41 made honest shavers out of almost a generation of denizens....I've gotten so I'm stuck between like three...That I2 you laid on me is my Highlander razor for many reasons on many different levels...I copped an Ever Ready 1909 (the first shovel headed lovely) and thats like the closest shaving and smoothest razor I've ever met...and this Schick Simplified Automatic Repeater (you have to love that name) C3...this one shaves as good as the 1909 now that I've figured it out! And it has risen to the challenge, I like it aswell as anything I've ever held now...I use it probably more than any....only thing is...it's hard to not just rifle off 10 or 20 blades every now and then,....Now I'm starting to get a little self control...it can get costly....:rolleyes005:.

Love seeing you back Stingy...we'll have to chat and catch up when you have the chance....

Whoa! I need to open the window and let some of this steam out of here! ...man she is a heart breaker!
Just wait til you shave with her....I bet she :git:....the 1914s are the original Wild Childs...a very unique shaving experience....So much feed-back, it's almost daunting at first...:scared003:

I hear ya!.....great for a centenarian razor and great for any razor....This one is timeless!

How was the Maiden Voyage! Give up the low-down....:happy108:
