The Drunken Goat stepped upto the mark, and delivered a wonderful lather... ok, the lather is an odd brown colour, and the scent is unusual to say the least, but looking at the ingredients, it's no surprise.. but paired with the ‘The Rock’ / 7 O'Clock Super Platinum combo, delivered a Baby Dolphin Smooth shave... lol.
SOTD Follow-up. You might have noticed that I am "titanicing" my way through my Jabonman Vetiver de Haiti. There are some that consider the post-shave of MdC to be "drying", but it isn't nearly as drying as this Jabonman. Wow. My face is drier than a popcorn fart. It looks like I'll be going through a lot of moisturizer until this soap is gone. Great scent, if you're a vetiver fan. But that's about all. Mike's is better in my book. Far better.
Perhaps it was the fresh blade, or the single injector shim, or the magic oil in lieu of soap and brush, or maybe the Patent Pending (1919) "1924" is just a great razor ... Killer shave, close without excessive buffing on the crown like I usually only get with the Hawk/General. Actually superior to Damaskeene and 1914 shaves this week.
