What Straight Razor Did You Use Today?

I'll spare y'all from another picture, but day after tomorrow it'll be my first month's anniversary since pickling up the straight. Boy! Time flies when you're having fun. Tonight's shave was another super fantastic shave, with some Arko-lather. Soooo, day after tomorrow, I'll fulfill my 30 day focus with the Black Jack. I'm really anticipating using another razor

I'm only 52. I just sound old when I type. Whipper Snappers.

I had a Very Smooth Shave this Morning with My Otto Busch 6/8th..This is the Only SR that I have Left that has been Honed on Natural Stones..I Bought this NOS Factory Fresh & the Japanese Vendor from Sweden Honed it on His Best Japanese Natural Stones at My Request..It has a Superb Edge & is the Only SR that I have Bought that was Honed on Natural Stones that I Never Re Honed on Synthetic's..

Its Not a Run of the Mill SR thats for Sure..It Certainly Emanates Prussian/Germanic Prowess & Little Room for Humbleness ..

Nice razor, I've had my eye on a similar one:

 

They are an extremely fine razor that take an easy, smooth edge. Not inexpensive, but one of my favorites.

Had a good shave tonight with this Torrey. I found I needed to keep the angle at 3 or so spines all 3 passes.

My first go with Route 66 soaps. A very nice soap. Great face lathering ability slick and best off all nice and soft feeling face after. This stuff is a keeper.

My last shave with the ERN wasn't as close as I'd liked. Today's was.

Maybe it was the experimenting with the "Guillotine Style" pass discussed on the Newbie Questions thread. I found it easier to execute than expected and very helpful in some areas. In some areas the scything pass worked better. It appears there is some lack of standardization of terminology and I'm going with the shave pass descriptions from the SRP site's library.
